Carolina Yacht Club Wedding by sMm Photography
We love when couples weave Lowcountry details throughout their decor and we're particularly smitten with Nick & Elaine's Carolina Yacht Club wedding. With the help of Ashley from Fraiche Event Design, the couple incorporate oyster shells and palmetto roses throughout their Fall affair. Oyster shell wreaths highlighted the wreaths on the doors of the Church of Holy Communion while the palmetto roses popped up in the bouquets and centerpieces. Since Nick is a firefighter, the couple decided on using the "Big John" Firetruck as their mode of transportation and not only was it the perfect getaway vehicle, but the pictures are perfection! Thanks to sMm photography for capturing all the details!

The NotWedding Charleston Save the Date
I regularly find myself be-bopping around the Lowcountry as I hit up to the top bridal events along the coast. Quite frequently, I'll ask my husband if he wants to tag-a-long and over the years, there's only one event that regularly find its way on his calendar -The NotWedding. There's always music and dancing, great bites and champagne and loads of inspiration from the Lowcountry's top wedding creatives, and, most importantly, dudes love it. Well, ladies and gentlemen, the crew is headed back to the Carolinas and is making a pit stop in Charleston on December 7th at the Historic Rice Mill Building, so in honor of the big bash, we're sharing The NotWedding Save the Date captured by the amazing Becky Williamson. We hope to see you there!

Charleston Rehearsal Dinner by Clay Austin Photography
While we all love a good Lowcountry wedding, it's always fun to share a bridal shower, bachelorette party, or in today's case - a lovely Charleston Rehearsal Dinner! It can be easy to get consumed by the wedding planning duties but let's not forget that in most cases your wedding day is really a wedding weekend :) This beauty took place at a private residence in the Lowcountry and was captured by Clay Austin Photography. The crew at Out of Garden designed a chic evening of greys and neutrals while Ooh! Events handled the rentals - don't you just love those natural X-back chairs!? Hamby Catering served up a delicious menu of Southern cuisine while Squeeze On-site kept the drinks a-flowin'. Guests kicked off the weekend on the dance floor to the sounds of Quiana Parler & Friends!

Charleston Engagement by The Click Chick Photography
We're continuing a Sunday full of Southern engagement sessions with this Charleston beauty from The Click Chick Photography. Tiffany & Jared wed in her home state of Michigan this past summer but decided a Lowcountry engagement session was a must since this is where the newlyweds call home. The twosome started on the lovely Isle of Palms before heading to historic downtown Charleston to stroll around South of Broad!

Rewined Candles Factory Tour in Charleston, SC
This summer, I asked my friend Mackenzie of The Click Chick Photography to join me on a field trip to the aromatic Rewined Candles Factory. While I may have procrastinated in getting the post up, I’m still daydreaming about the delicious scents and the wonderful people that make Rewined one of our local favorites. Anita, their marketing gal, and a wonderful candle maker in her own right, was kind enough to give us a peak inside their world and share the tale of how our favorite wicks were born. The story of Rewined Candles immediately made me think, “How did I not think of that?!” Founder Adam Fetsch had been working in the food & bev industry and regularly witnessed the disposal of countless wine bottles. Soon a light bulb went off and he figured out the perfect way to re-purpose them - wine bottle candles with scents that mimic the tasting notes of wine. Genius! In addition the popular wine scents (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, etc.) they've recently added the Produce line to their repertoire. These lovelies bring the fresh scents of the farm right into your living room (think Carrot, Cilantro, Honey, Melon and more). I'm currently obsessing over the Fall seasonal, which I'm hoping will become a staple, the Fig. Our favorite part - these beauties are the perfect addition to your wedding day weekend. Whether it's favors at your wedding shower or a parting gift for your guests at your reception, everyone's nostrils will thank you! Oh, and our friends at Rewined could use your help. They're a finalist in the 2014 Martha Stewart American Made Contest and would love for you to throw them a vote - or two!

Charleston Wedding Proposal by Riverland Studios
Sweet Dana had scheduled a couples session with Riverland Studios to commemorate their romantic trip to Charleston, South Carolina before her boyfriend, Drew, left for his deployment. Little did Dana know that Drew had his own plans for how the afternoon would go. Just ten minutes into the session, Drew dropped to one knee to ask for Dana's hand in marriage and the emotion that was captured was nothing short of heartwarming. If any soon-to-be grooms are planning on proposing soon, our suggestion would be to make sure you have a Lowcountry photographer in-tow.

Old Exchange Building Wedding by Fox Events
Charleston Wedding Engagement by Sara Bee Photography
Sara Bee Photography, we need to talk, because this is one stunning Charleston wedding engagement. It's so perfect that it's got me thinking my husband and I are in serious need of an updated couples shoot in the heart of the Holy City. Complete with a talented photography, gorgeous scenery and full of love. Just like this sweet duo, Kendra + Addison. Bride-to-be Kendra stunned in not one, not two, but 4 different outfits and we're obsessing over all of them, especially that pale purple gown. The afternoon started as they roamed the historic cobblestone streets where even their sweet puppy made an appearance. As they continued, they changed into more casual attire and ended up, arm-in-arm, with their toes in the water and the sun setting in the background. Thanks to Sara Bee Photography for capturing all the loveliness!

William Aiken House Wedding by Mingle + Hyer Images
A vibrant magenta and orange color palette set the stage for Jennifer + Rizwan's stunning William Aiken House wedding in Charleston, South Carolina last July. Bride Jennifer donned a dazzling strapless gown, sparkly pink Kate Spade heels and a bouquet by Wildflowers Inc. that is so gorgeous it needs to be on the cover of a magazine. Her bridesmaids rocked amazing saris in shades of magenta and purple with gold accents, while accessorizing with gorgeous white bouquets. For the ceremony, Rizwan wore a traditional sherwani while his lively groomsmen wore grey suits and magenta ties. The couple said 'I do' outdoors on the lawn of the William Aiken House before celebrating the night away with their guests. The team at Mingle created a beautiful evening full of pin-able details. Fish served up their signature cuisine and even incorporated a handful of Indian dishes to give a nod to the Groom's family's heritage. From the lovely silver linens and lanterns that illuminated the night, to the candelabras overflowing with vivid blooms, Two 3 Ways keeping guests up and out of their chairs, and elegant cake by Gala Desserts, we can't get enough of this exquisite Charleston wedding! Thanks to Hyer Images for capturing all the details.

Nautical Charleston Wedding Engagement by Kelly Dillon Photography
Fresh, clean photography, an adorable couple and the charm of the Holy City makes for one very happy A Lowcountry Wedding Editor and a gorgeous Nautical Charleston Wedding Engagement. The lovely Kelly, of Kelly Dillon Photography, spent the afternoon with Olivia + Chad discovering the quaint corners and cobblestone streets of Charleston before heading over to the harbor to capture a few shots by the marina! I'm loving the couple's outfit choices, from the slightly more formal looks as they touredDowntown, to the more casual attire over by the water. I'm totally obsessing over Olivia's preppy pink top and navy and white striped skirt.

Karlee + Shawn Charleston Elopement by CarolineRo Photography
A few months ago, we shared Karlee + Shawn's Surprise Folly Beach Proposal captured by the wonderful CarolineRo Photography. It was a joyous, low-key evening along the shore filled with touching moments of the adorable duo. It was clear that these two had something special and their romantic Charleston Elopement earlier this year shared the same sentiment. Bride Karlee stunned in a gorgeous strapless gown and romantic shawl that she paired with a bouquet in deep shades of red. But our favorite part was the ceremony. The candlelight, the cafe lights strung from above and the intimate setting creates an enviable backdrop for a touching Charleston wedding! Thanks to CarolineRo Photography for capturing such a beauty! If you'd like to see more, check out the couple's video captured by BlackDeerMedia.

Charleston Wedding Engagement by Wild Cotton Photography
Good morning, Lowcountry Lovelies! We can’t believe August is right around the corner and before we know it, we’ll be bidding adieu to Beach Season. Before we head out to enjoy the Summer sun, we had to share Berna + Chad’s charming Charleston wedding engagement from the talented Wild Cotton Photography. You probably remember Sally Katherine's romantic Edisto Island portraits she captured. We’re loving Berna + Chad's relaxed attire, the pit stop at Rue de Jean, and how they brought their pups along for the ride.
