Charleston Engagement by The Click Chick Photography
We're continuing a Sunday full of Southern engagement sessions with this Charleston beauty from The Click Chick Photography. Tiffany & Jared wed in her home state of Michigan this past summer but decided a Lowcountry engagement session was a must since this is where the newlyweds call home. The twosome started on the lovely Isle of Palms before heading to historic downtown Charleston to stroll around South of Broad!

Rustic Wedding in Charleston SC by The Click Chick Photography
The adorable Tasha & Jamel recently tied the knot at a friend's gorgeous Lowcountry home in Yeaman's Hall Plantation. Their rustic wedding included a color palette of blush, white, and gray, with accents of burlap. Tasha donned a lace, fit & flare dress with chic blush pumps. Jamel and his groomsmen sported gray suits and blush bow ties. Since both the Bride + Groom are Citadel grads, both finished off their looks by sporting their Citadel rings. Guests were treated to a delicious brunch which included shrimp & grits, watermelon and strawberry salad, sweet potato biscuits with ham and gazpacho shoots. One of our favorite details - the chalkboard photobooth backdrop! Thanks to The Click Chick Photography for capturing this adorable Charleston wedding!

Citadel + Hampton Park Wedding Engagement from The Click Chick Photography
We love us a good Hampton Park wedding engagement session, especially when it includes one of our favorite photographers and a Citadel love story to go with it! Latasha + Jamel began a friendship while in school at the Citadel which eventually developed into a beautiful relationship. When scheming with the lovely Mackenzie of The Click Chick Photography, the duo knew a trip to their old stomping grounds was definitely in order...and we're sure glad they did! The shots of the happy couple in their Letterman's jacket are nothing short of adorable. Afterwards, the duo continued their sweet afternoon with a tour of Hampton Park and a handful of pastel balloons before heading Downtown to spend sometime South of Broad!

Charlestowne Landing Wedding Engagement {Mandy + Kevin}
You may remember a few months back when Charleston wedding photographer, The Click Chick Photography, launched a brand spanking new site. In celebration of the new makeover, she gifted one lucky couple with free wedding photography package. The winning twosome - the adorable Mandy + Kevin! Check out their sun-drenched Charlestowne Landing wedding engagement and all the details from The Click Chick Photography...
Mandy & Kevin are so in love and it was evident during their engagement session at Charlestowne Landing in Charleston, South Carolina. Tego the dog came along, as well as some fun vintage bikes, a giant balloon, and peaches (since their wedding is going to be in Savannah, GA). After hitting many speed bumps preceding our session (the Etsy balloon wasn't going to be here on time, where are we going to find peaches out of season??), some mad DIY skills (Mandy copied the balloon we had found on Etsy- seriously, you couldn't tell the difference) we were blessed with an unseasonably warm and beautiful day with the sweetgrass in full bloom and the marsh aglow with sunshine.
What is your favorite thing about Kevin? "His sense of humor." What is your favorite thing about Mandy? "Her laugh and how wonderfully weird she is."
From the bride: "I grew up in Michigan and Kevin bounced back and forth between Tennessee and Michigan his whole life. We dated for a year when we were 18. We broke up, and ran into each other frequently in college. We reconnected two years ago at a friend's wedding and moved to North Carolina for a year. That was my first taste of southern living. His job transferred to Savannah in February and we got engaged in August 2013. Since our wedding will be like a vacation for most people, we are trying to tie in the best parts of Savannah, Georgia, and the South."

Holy City Engagement {Grace + Ben}
I always love when we have the opportunity to share a session by Charleston wedding photographer, Mackenzie of The Click Chick Photography. Mackenzie has a knack for bringing out each couple's individuality in a fun, fresh way that can't help but bring a smile to your face. Today's smitten couple, Grace + Ben, spent a lovely Lowcountry afternoon gallivanting around the Holy City (cobblestone and all!) to capture some seriously frame-able images!
Southern Engagement {Jen + John}
To kick off our Southern Wedding Sunday, we're sharing this adorable, Notebook-inspired engagement session from our pal and Charleston wedding vendor, The Click Chick Photography! Since the sweet couple, Jen + John, were in the midst of designing their Hollywood-glam wedding, they turned to one of our favorite Lowcountry love stories, 'The Notebook', for inspiration in their gorgeous engagement session. The quaint town of Lagrange, Kentucky made for the perfect backdrop, especially when combined with Jen's vintage attire!

Charleston Wedding {Jess + James}
It's so easy to get caught up in the fabulous-ness of pinterest, magazines and blogs when planning your Charleston wedding. They're all brimming with luscious details and tons of ideas but it's important to stay true to yourself and make sure your wedding truly reflects you as couple. When I first laid eyes on Jess + James' Charleston wedding, my first thought was, 'These two did it right!' Mackenzie, of The Click Chick Photography, was on hand to capture the entire day and was kind enough to share all the darling details...
"A taco truck, a historic synagogue, and pie, oh my! Jess & James wedding at the historic Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim was a true Charleston original. The location in downtown Charleston, SC lies in between King and Meeting Streets right across from posh Charleston Place hotel. The Taco Boy food truck greeted guests as they arrived to Passed Hors d'Oeurves by Hamby Catering in the courtyard of KKBE pre-ceremony. A traditional Jewish ceremony followed, with both Jess & James escorted down the aisle by their parents to the chuppah, which was made from a family quilt. Jess wore a silk J.Crew fucshia dress for the ceremony that was accented by a custom fascinator by Magar Hatworks. Post-ceremony the couple enjoyed some tacos privately during the yichud tradition, the Jess made a wardrobe change into another J.Crew stunner, this time in melon chiffon. Beer and margaritas flowed during the reception to compliment the three types of tacos and chips and guac. The cheery tables were decorated with 'stache-graced straws, flowers made from maps (a nod to James's travels in the Navy- he also wore custom cuff links and tie clips bearing a map of Charleston), billy buttons in pink and melon-hued glass jars, and challah. Sugar Bakeshop filled the dessert table not with wedding cake, but pies of every flavor and cookie jars filled with yummy flavors like molasses and oatmeal cranberry. Jess & James' wedding was the perfect going away party for their move to Hawaii, and summed up their personality as a couple to a tee."
