Spring Afternoon Wedding
Mill Creek Equestrian Center
Statesboro, Georgia
From Tara Skinner Events: Our venue, Mill Creek Equestrian Center, was the perfect backdrop for this afternoon affair. This picturesque property boasts 140 acres of land that allow for endless layouts for your wedding. They have green pastries, a historic farm, horses, and even a large lake that you can take a canoe out on.
We created two unique table settings, each with its own theme. The first was farm-to-table inspired, and the florist, Harvey Designs, mixed in fresh vegetables with organic blooms for a natural and organic table. Green acrylic chargers were topped with hand-made ceramic dishes and monogrammed napkin ring holders that held fresh vegetables. Goblets in shades of emerald and navy added color, while the natural hues of fresh cabbage, cauliflower, and carrots complimented the rustic white farm table.
The second table played with the Easter theme, with bunny topiaries as the centerpieces and fresh vegetables and white flowers as the accent pieces. Natural moss-covered rounds were used as chargers, and vintage china added a bit of whimsy!
For the ceremony, we chose the lawn overlooking the lake. The soft blue hues played well with the pampas grass and all-white floral display, which sat on the ground surrounding the couple. After saying their vows, our couple took a ride on a canoe on the lake, as the sun started to set behind them.
