Brides, if you are currently on the hunt for the perfect Bridesmaid’s gift, then look no further! I recently stumbled across The Bride’s Maids Shop, and I promise you, all of your prayers have been answered! I remember struggling in the months leading up to my own wedding, frantically flipping through magazines and searching through blog after blog, attempting to find the perfect token to show my appreciation for my ladies and something they would use for years to come. Not to mention, I didn’t want to break the bank having to buy for 10 pretty, Southern belles! While I might not have had the opportunity to indulge in all The Bride’s Maids Shop has to offer, I’m so excited I get to share this must-stop shop with my favorite Lowcountry ladies. As you peruse through their site, you’ll find they’ve rounded up a collection of quality and meaningful gifts that will have your gals jumping for joy, and, if I had to guess, you might even find a little something for yourself!
We love that many of their items are handmade or designed exclusively for The Bride’s Maids Shop and we have a feeling your gals will love it, too! Not only can you purchase single items, but they’ve also packaged some of our favorites together to make your shopping even easier.
Each fabulous package includes complimentary gift wrapping (yay!) and a thank you card so you can tell your maids just how much they mean to you.
Oh, and I almost forgot, once a month The Bride’s Maids Shop host a giveaway and this month they’re giving away this beauty...

Legare Waring House Wedding by Jennifer Bearden Photography
Jennifer Bearden Photography recently teamed up that lovely ladies of Mingle for a big ol' southern wedding celebration at Legare Waring House in Charleston, SC. Bride Lauren and her groom Justin, wanted a dyed-in-the-wool southern affair, and it was! Married outdoors in front of a reclaimed mantle from a Charleston estate under the grand Oak trees! Gingham bow ties, oysters, bourbon bars and succulents adorning the cake. The color palate was a clean base of navy set off by a wealth of other hues of blue and white, so striking against the Lowcountry backdrop. It was a beautiful, deeply Southern and meaningful affair, full of all the things a great Southern wedding should be!

550 Trackside Wedding by Amy Arrington Photography {Emma + Eric}
My sister, Emma, got married this past October, and it was everything we all thought it would be! A little crazy, a lot of pretty and a helluva a good time! Emma wore a dress that I'm quite positive was made just for her. It was strapless with a sweetheart neckline and, of course, had pockets, where we would later find her stashing late-night Taco Bell...just like her brother-in-law! The bridesmaids wore the Chrysanthemum Tea dress from Anthropologie, which perfectly complemented our bouquets of white anemones. Eric and his groomsmen donned black tuxedos with rustic, turkey feather boutonnieres. What started as a calm, relaxing morning, quickly turned into sheer panic as hair appointments took longer than expected, Dad completely forgetting what time he was supposed to get in the shower, and a full-on mad dash to the church just in time for the beautiful Bride to walk down the aisle #thatshowweroll Surprisingly, everyone made it on time watch Emma, who somehow remained completely calm and collected, and my Dad walked down the aisle. We enjoyed a touching and entertaining ceremony where Father Sunny (and his memorable accent) pronounced Emma + Eric, husband and wife. Afterwards, the party made its way to Downtown Lawrenceville for a lively 550 Trackside Wedding! Luckily for us, Amy Arrington Photography captured plenty of hilarious/embarrassing shots of everyone dancing the night away! Enjoy!
Congratulations to Emma + Eric! We wish you a lifetime of happiness, bird-watching, rock-collecting and kitchen-dancing! Can't wait for some baby hoagies! -Erin + Brian #vog2hog

That's When I Look at the Groom... {Groom's Reactions}
Typically, all eyes are on the bride when she makes her grand entrance on “the big day”- we’re captivated by her stunning gown, lovely bouquet, and the way that she exudes elegance as she makes her way down the aisle. But, let’s remember what Jane, the serial bridesmaid in 27 Dresses, described as her favorite part of weddings: “You know how the bride makes her entrance and everybody turns to look at her? That’s when I look at the groom. ‘Cause his face says it all you know? The pure love there.” A groom’s reaction when he first sees his bride is a moment unlike any other. We hope you enjoy these awe-worthy pictures of groom’s being taken aback by their beautiful brides.

William Aiken House Wedding {Sarah + Steven}
This weekend was kind of epic. Not only did the weather finally shape up, but we had the honor of attending the 1st Draft a Celebrity Tournament at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course. It was a BLAST, and we may have even met Bill Murray! So, as we attempt to leave the weekend behind and dive into Monday morning, we have a feeling this lovely William Aiken House wedding will be just what the doctor order to slap a smile on your face. Sarah + Steven's romantic Fall bash was dressed up with beautiful white flowers and dusty millers from the talented ladies of Out of Hand. Fish treated guests to delicious cuisine while Cupcake topped things of with tasty treats. Thanks to White Wave Photography for capturing all the details!

Boone Hall Plantation Wedding Inspiration {JoPhoto} LB Floral
Last week I had a hankering to feature a styled shoot, so I put it out there on twitter and my little heart couldn't have been happier with what rolled into my inbox. Southern wedding photographer, JoPhoto, made my day and is about to make your week with this stunning Boone Hall Plantation wedding inspiration shoot. With the help of LB Floral and Vanity Salon, the group created one magical Lowcountry afternoon. We adore this lovely floral bridal halo, a blooming cotton field, and two dreamy gowns (lace wedding gown, and a flowy bridesmaid gown). Along with the amazing natural light, The Avenue of Oaks lining the drive of Boone Hall Plantation was the perfect Charleston wedding backdrop and we have a feeling your Pinterest boards will agree.
Confederate Home Wedding {Lee Ann + Matthew}
With the overwhelming response we've received asking about how to get a print copy of A Lowcountry Wedding, we've recently switched over to a new program that will easily allow you to order your own print copies. YAY! So if you’re in the mood to dive head first into all things Lowcountry and all things weddings, then boy do we have a treat for you! So head on over and be inspired by all that the Fall/Winter edition has to offer. Check it out and get your copies here. I'm a big fan of Loren Routhier and her captivating photography. It's classic and timeless and oh-so romantic! Lee Ann + Matthew's Confederate Home wedding is no different. The couple's destination wedding took place late this summer in the heart of the Holy City. A combination of botanical and birds made for quite the ethereal evening. The ceremony took place under a large, majestic oak tree, while the reception and cocktail hour were held on the expansive porch and inside the historic home.

Charleston Wedding {Chloe + Kyle} Cabell House
I actually saw Chloe's wedding when her photographer, Taylor Rae Photography, had posted a teaser shot on her facebook page. From there I was hooked. Chloe's the epitome of my ideal Southern bride. Her hair and makeup are effortlessly perfect and her gown just stops me in my tracks. Full skirt with 3/4 length lace sleeves? Yes, please. So, naturally, I had to include her Charleston wedding at the Cabell House in our premier issue of A Lowcountry Wedding, and, from the looks of it, you've all been loving it! Dying to see more?! Check out all the details in our complete digital edition of A Lowcountry Wedding Mag which you can purchase here!
Chloe made the wedding her own, but the beautiful contributions her family made simply cannot be ignored. The bride chose a color palate of greys and white with a hint of black that created an effortless and graceful feel. These colors were incorporated in the handmade pillow her mother crafted for her nephew, the ring bearer, to carry down the aisle. Also incorporated in the color palate were the white peonies and roses that were seen in all of the day’s floral arrangements. The bridal bouquet was completed by a small antique bell that Chloe’s grandmother has worn all of her life.
After the courtyard ceremony, the guests sat down to a family style meal at an extended farm table where they were treated to a traditional Southern fare of the fried chicken, mac and cheese, country ham, and fried okra. Spanish moss served as a table runner, which was lined with subdued floral arrangements in mercury glass votives. The intimate mood of the evening was truly set by the flower filled chandelier hanging over the table, which the father of the bride crafted for the occasion.
