I felt compelled to share a little loveliness on this gorgeous, Lowcountry weekend and who better to assist than our friend and Charleston wedding vendor, Gillian Reinhardt of Carolina Studios! The sweet couple, Holly + Chris, joined Gillian for an afternoon in the Holy City before wrapping up the day at the picturesque Waterfront Park. I have to say I'm loving those personalized chalkboards!

We're headed into what is sure to be a fabulous, January weekend. I mean, we're talking 75 degrees and sunny! Is it springtime already!?! So, in honor of this beautiful weather, I thought a gorgeous Charleston engagement from our pal Britt Croft Photography would be the perfect way to get the celebration started. Tim + Rachel started things off dressed in the Steelers Save the Dates at the beach with their adorable, four-legged friend Bella before heading downtown to enjoy the historic Holy City!

For Part One, Aaron donned his military attire while the beautiful Miss Aimee dazzled in a vintage-inspired dress. How romantic! Bride-to-be Katie recently submitted her gorgeous engagement session from Charleston wedding vendor Amy Prikazsky Photography, and I quickly fell madly in love. Not only are Katie and TJ the epitome of adorable, but Katie clearly nailed her Fall, attire selections. I would highly recommend any Lowcountry lady taking some style pointers from Miss Katie. Every outfit was effortless and I love how she added in pops of color and a few timeless, statement pieces. With an engagement session this perfect, we can't wait to feast our eyes on their upcoming wedding!

I totally love this offbeat engagement session from Orange Owl Photo and I figured it was the perfect way to wrap up this Fall weekend. I know girls always have a mini heart attack while trying to decide what to wear for their e-session photos, but they need to take a page from Christina's playbook. Keep it classic and comfy...and don't forget to add your own spunky flair. She nailed it with this mustard yellow dress, black boots, jean jacket and that coral necklace added the perfect pop of color.
Alright, ladies! We're hopping right back into a little Lowcountry heaven with this phenomenal Charleston wedding engagement from Myrtle Beach-based Carolina Studios by Gillian Reinhardt. The couple did it right as they moseyed around charming, Downtown Charleston before heading across the bridge to Mount Pleasant. The couple then moseyed around the stunning Boone Hall Plantation where Laura sported a seriously adorable yellow skirt, blue and white striped shirt and a pair cowboy boots (actually, I love all of her clothing selections). The images of them walking through the fields with the Spanish moss dripping down...I die. The duo then headed to the beach with their pooch where they changed into their opposing school's gear. Gotta love a Clemson/Carolina couple! Seriously Gillian, I love this one!

In keeping with our Southern Wedding Sunday (we refer to it as our own little Sunday Funday!), we've got Tiffany + Ryan's Florida engagement session at Roger Dean Stadium. Since Ryan is a baseball player for the Miami Marlins, it only made sense for the couple to incorporate his love for the game into their treasured engagement shots. Thomas grew up and Charleston and quickly his love for the Holy City grew on his bride-to-be Jessica. Without question, they knew it was the perfect location for the engagement session. My inbox is always welcoming countless images of beautiful engagements and weddings in the Lowcountry. I know...what a rough life! I’m constantly ohh-ing and ahh-ing over the things Lowcountry wedding vendors are dreaming up. Their endless creativity never ceases to amaze me. It’s the exact reason why I fell hard for Magnus + Rachel’s refreshing engagement session from Charleston wedding vendor, Kelly Sauer Photography. The youthful pair kicked things off in the midst of Marion Square in Downtown Charleston before heading down the road to Paolo’s (with Pooh Bear!) for a little tasty of Italy! As usual, Kelly made the couple feel relaxed and at ease and it surely shows in their adorable demeanor. I'm going to turn it over to Kelly for a little more about the couple and all the details...
"Almost from the time they began dating, Rachel and Magnus, seminary students in Columbia, S.C., knew they were going to get married. Rachel had all but given up the idea of getting married and was preparing to settle into a season of singleness when God dropped Magnus in her lap - and she wasn't sure what to do with him. Magnus tried to do the regular things: "I asked her out for ice cream, and she said no. I tried to give her... and she said no." So this pastor-in-training started praying for her. He prayed every day for a summer before he got his answer that Rachel was "the one" for him. He got the green light to try again, and discovered that her heart toward him had changed. She said "yes" this time, and the two became inseparable. By the time Magnus proposed - after Valentine's Day! - Rachel knew it was coming, and she was ready for him. She bought a children's book for him, "Love You Forever," and as she said "yes" to forever, she read him the sweet story, "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be." This adorable couple goes out for ice cream a lot now, and he calls her honey and says he is Pooh.They do a powerful lot of cheek-kissing and have a playful, loving relationship that leaves both of them room to grow and be. They plan to get married on December 31, 2012. Details for their engagement session include: mancala (a favorite game - taught to Rachel by her grandmother), a balloon bouquet, an Old Navy straw fedora, dried larkspur, some favorite books, Magnus's Bible, real Italian gelato, a Winnie the Pooh studying for seminary, and downtown Charleston in the summer. They did a brief "picnic" in Marion Square in Charleston, and then walked down to Paolo's Gelato to finish out their Charleston photography date."
