Richele + Harold {British Columbia Engagement}

Vancouver wedding photographer Alexandra Hunt has a knack for taking contemporary, yet timeless images.  She's a pro at capturing some seriously frame-able photos that are  always rich in color and she never fails to document the special moments between two people in love. This past summer she spent the day with Richele + Harold as they gallivanted around Campbell Valley Park.  Not only was the couple adorable but the park provided a killer backdrop, a stunning red barn and maybe a rainbow...or two!

Jennifer + Matthew {Beaufort Wedding}

Jennifer + Matthew were married last Fall deep in the heart of the Lowcountry.  The couple were wed at the historic Stoney Creek Presbyterian Chapel in McPhersonville, South Carolina where talented photographer Kellie McCann was on hand to capture their day.  This  antebellum chapel dates back to 1833 and was the perfect choice for their intimate, laid back wedding.  After the ceremony, they moved the celebration to a private home in Beaufort where guests were treated to the best of the Lowcountry.  They enjoyed a casual, relaxing atmosphere with stunning views of the marsh and spectacular Lowcountry cuisine.

Becky {Tennessee Bridals}

The fabulous husband and wife duo behind Colby Wheeler Photography spent a gorgeous Tennessee afternoon with bride-to-be Becky in classic, yet rustic, bridal session.  Becky looked amazing in a strapless gown accessorized with her favorite pair of boots while her hair was swept softly off her face.  The entire session seemed to fit Becky perfectly and the Wheeler's did a great job capturing her in her element.  I mean, you can't really go wrong with perfect weather, picturesque landscape and a stunning bride....am I right?!

Heather + Kolby {Fort Worth Wedding}

Last December, my husband's cousin was tying the knot in Fort Worth, Texas.  It was my first trip EVER to the Lonestar State and I couldn't have had a better time.  Fort Worth is such a cool, clean city.  It's got a great mix of Western heritage, fabulous shopping and a lively bar scene (Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, anyone?)  All and all, I would highly recommend a trip if you haven't already been.  So, needless today say, I was pretty excited when Lyncca Harvey sent over Heather + Kolby's Fort Worth Wedding.  The couple wed this past summer at the gorgeous Fort Worth YWCA where they treated their guests to a little Texas cuisine, some kickin' tunes and a seriously good time!

Jennifer + Chris {Honey Horn Plantation Wedding}

Honey Horn Plantation is located on Hilton Head Island and is one of the Lowcountry's treasured Wedding venues.  It has everything that today's couple, Jennifer + Chris, wanted in a reception venue: cozy live oaks, salt marshes, spanish moss and picturesque open fields. Amanda Joy Photography was on hand to capture this darling Southern affair complete with an oh-so sweet couple,  personalized details and some amazing lowcountry cuisine.
Thanks to Jennifer for filling us in on all the details.  I just love her responses...

Tell us a little bit about how you met your husband.  How long have you known each other? Where did you meet?
My husband and I met through our group of friends at the beginning of our sophomore year at the University of South Carolina. As our group of friends hung out more, our relationship grew and it was history from there. We first became best friends and the love grew from that which is why our relationship has such a solid foundation. We dated for 5 years before getting engaged

How did he propose?  How long were you engaged for?
While visiting my family in Bluffton SC for a long weekend, our day was full with lots of summer activities throughout the day, nothing out of the ordinary. I noticed that Chris seemed to be following my Dad around a little more than normal while they were cooking dinner on the grill, but thought he was just trying to get to know him more. Little did I know, he was asking to marry me.  After dinner and showers, we were ready to watch a family movie when Chris mentioned that he wanted to go to the gas station nearby to get a Gatorade to help his headache. Chris almost always gets a headache after being in the sun all day, and always wants a Gatorade when he has a headache, so this wasn’t out of the ordinary either. I was a little annoyed with him because I was ready to watch the movie, and the gas station wasn’t very close. After my mother (who also had no idea what was going on) tried to offer him a few medications, I agreed to go with him to the gas station, but being stubborn, I didn’t change out of my pjs and didn’t put on any shoes either. Once we got on the road, I was giving him all sorts of directions to the gas station, and he wasn’t following any of them. He was driving past all the turns. Finally, he asked me where the church was that my parents got married in. He said he wanted to drive by to see what it looked like at night, since it is on the water. I STILL didn’t get a clue; I was just getting more and more annoyed. Finally we got to the church and we hopped out of the car. He took my hand and walked me over to an oak tree and got down on one knee right under it. He asked me to marry him and I immediately covered my mouth in shock and started stepping backwards. Chris jokes now that he was a little scared when I did this because it looked like I was going to run away. I of course said YES and we quickly got back in the car. Remember, I wasn’t wearing any shoes and Chris found out quickly that he knelt down in an ant pile. Oh, the joys of the south. On the way home to celebrate with my awaiting parents and brothers, I still thought Chris had a headache and asked if he still needed a Gatorade. We were engaged for a little over one year.

How did you choose your venue? What elements drew you to Honey Horn?
We knew right away that we wanted to get married on Hilton Head, where I was born and raised. Chris’ family has a beach house in Beaufort SC, which is about an hour away. This is where Chris spent his summers growing up. So this place is special to the both of us. We knew we wanted our wedding to be somewhat laid back and a low country theme, so an outside reception was perfect. We chose Honey Horn Plantation because of the beautiful pavilion (in case of rain) that still gave the outside feel, but most importantly because of the beautiful oak trees and moss. Nothing is more beautiful to a southern girl and guy like us than a location with Oak Trees, moss, and the smell of the marsh nearby. We were sold!

Your wedding was filled with gorgeous details.  Did any have special meaning? What was your favorite?
This was the most important thing for Chris and I when planning our wedding. We wanted every single detail to be personalized or mean something special to us. Since we had a more laid back reception, we got to spend a lot of time creating small details that meant something to us. Where do I start?
For the actual ceremony, I had my great grandmother’s ring tied to my bouquet, which was wonderful knowing that it was there.
And the reception is where is gets good! Each table number corresponded with a short sentence or story about Chris and me. For example, Table 56: Chris and Jennifer were engaged for 56 weeks. The escort cards were clothes pinned onto an old window frame.
 My dad made different signs to use around the reception for parking, arrows for “reception”, “thank you” for the gift table, but my favorite (out of all the signs and everything at the reception) was “Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Hunt” that was put at our wedding party table in front of our seats.
 The pavilion had a beautiful fireplace with a huge mantle that we had fun decorating. We strung twine across the mantle and used clothespins to pin up black and white pictures of Chris and I. My dad also made a huge “H” to put up as the focal point. Some greenery and a few more framed pictures, including ones of our parents on their wedding days finished up the mantle.
For our cake, I had a clay figurine made of our two precious dogs with their names on it. We were sad they couldn’t be there with us, but the cake topper was a perfect addition.
We also created a fun area for guests to take pictures and videotape. My mom found a huge red couch on sale that we put out in the yard. We had a table nearby with a camera and video camera and a chalkboard so that guests could write notes to us. There were also stick mustaches, lips, and glasses to have a little fun with.
We used more chalkboards to label different things at the reception like the lemonade, sweet tea, specialty drinks, cookies, and pies.
Near the gift table we had a few vintage pieces of luggage stacked on top of one another with a picture of Chris and I on our first trip together as a couple, and a little note to tell the guests where we were headed for our honeymoon.
There were many many more details for our reception, and once again, everything was planned and meant something to us. We know that with all of these special details, nobody will ever come close to having the same details as us, and our wedding will always be unique to us.

Tell us a little bit about your menu.  Did you add any Lowcountry elements?
Our menu screamed southern for sure, and that is exactly what we wanted. For the cocktail hour, the guests were greeted with mini crab cakes, fried oysters, fruit skewers, and mini ham biscuits.
For dinner we enjoyed strawberry and feta cheese salad, Caribbean chicken, coconut shrimp,  grilled veggies, and macaroni and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious! Honestly, we had a hard time deciding what we wanted for our menu because everything that Downtown Catering and Events had was delicious!

Out of the entire day, what was the most memorable moment?
Besides saying our vows (which was by far the best moment of the day, it felt like we were the only ones in the room), there were two other great moments that I could live over and over and they would never get old.
The first one would be seeing all of our friends and family at the reception together, having a good time. I’ve been to many weddings, but I have never seen two families mesh as well as our two families did. People that didn’t know each other until that day were dancing with one another. New siblings were dancing, long time family friends were dancing, and everyone was having a blast. You wouldn’t have been able to tell which family member or friend went with which family and for me that was the best thing. Family is the number one most important thing to Chris and I, so this was a very special moment for us for sure.
The second moment would have to be when we drove away. I know that doesn’t really sound too good, but at this moment, it was just the two of us for the first time all day, for the first time as a married couple. My little brother and his friends decorated our car and Chris drove us away, so there wasn’t even a driver to get in the way. Just us. As much as we were sad that the day was over, it was now real. On the way to the hotel, we realized how hungry we were, so we went through the Burger King drive through to bring food back to our room. We looked at each other and laughed because this was us. Nothing had changed, except I was now Mrs. Hunt and we were finally married.

Looking back on your engagement and wedding, is there any advice you would give to brides in the planning process?
I think I would say what everyone said, enjoy the whole thing, and DON’T RUSH through it. For me the planning for a whole year before the wedding made it so I wasn’t too stressed towards the end. Don’t get me wrong, I think every normal girl will get at least a little stressed. But, I feel like I had just enough time to plan.
The part that went by so fast for me was the actual day. I feel like I was rushing the morning by because I just wanted to see Chris and I couldn’t wait for the ceremony to start. I could have slowed down and taken in everything a little more.
The reception went by the fastest. I’m not sure where the time went. I wish I would have been able to speak to everyone there a little more than I did.
So yes, my advice would be slow down, look around, and enjoy every second of the day.

Stephanie + Matt {West Palm Beach Wedding}

Stephanie + Matt tied the knot this past Spring in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida.  The two opted for a traditional Catholic ceremony at St. Ann's Church were they said 'I do' in front of all their friends and fam.  Afterwards, they took to the beach where the ladies of Stay Forever Photography were able to grab some gorgeous sun kissed images of the happy couple and their bridal crew.  They joined their guests at the Palm Beach Sailing Club were they enjoyed a reception filled with an appetizing array of food (including BBQ and cake pops!), kickin' reggae, lots of dancing and a wonderful coastal breeze.

I was completely swept off my feet the first time I laid eyes on Kathryn's Charleston Bridal Session  and, to be honest, I've been dying to share this gem with you ever since.  Talented Lowcountry wedding photographer, Ricki Ford, spent the afternoon South of Broad with the effortless Southern Belle.  It just doesn't get any better than timeless photography, a natural Southern beauty and the elegance of Downtown Charleston.

Which one's your fav?

Bethany + Jay {Nashville Wedding}

It's time for the weekend!  To all of our Charleston wedding vendors and gorgeous Lowcountry Brides, we wish you all a perfect wedding weekend...and we can't wait to see the pictures!  To wrap up this chilly Fall week, we're sharing a personal favorite of mine.  This Nashville wedding comes to us from the talented Evin Photography and has some truly classic Southern elements.  Bride Bethany stuns in her one-of-a-kind strapless gown while her maids look fab in knee length pewter dresses.  I am absolutely in love with her bouquet, that amazing cake and the adorable ring bearer :)
Thanks to Bethany for sharing her story...

Tell us a little bit about how you two met...
My husband and I met through his aunt and uncle.  We had both previously been in previous relationships and in the same places at the same time but never met until a few years later.  Both of our relationships had ended and they introduced us, somewhat jokingly, and we both had our first “blind date” – the rest is history.  Our first date was at my favorite restaurant and it’s a running joke amongst my friends that I don’t share my macaroni & cheese.  When I came back from the date and reported that I had shared my mac & cheese, everyone knew this was it!

Tell us about how he proposed...
After telling me that there was a surprise date planned, we went to dinner at a nice restaurant. I  had been contemplating all week if perhaps this could be it, but decided it was far too obvious (all part of Jay's plan)! Through out dinner, nothing seemed to be amiss so I decided this was definitely not the night and settled for a wonderful dessert. After dinner, Jay took me driving through downtown Franklin and we looked at all of the historic houses. He decided to park and asked that they walk around - in 90 degree muggy humid weather. Thinking that this was not the surprise but that they were wasting time because they were going to go DO something, I was getting more than a little frustrated at all of the walking and sweating they were doing and was wondering why we couldn't waste time doing something else. Eventually, we made their way to a beautiful neighborhood of the Brownstones. The gate to the courtyard was unlocked and there was a gorgeously lit fountain surrounded by benches, oil lamps and landscaping. Jay couldn't wait much longer and dropped to his knee. We were engaged for right at a year.

Out of the entire day, what was the most memorable moment?
There were two moments that really stand out to both my husband and myself when we look back.  We did a first look and were then able to do pictures prior to the ceremony.  After seemingly a million pictures, it was our turn to sit down for a minute while our photographer worked just with the wedding party.  While we sat in a pew, everything seemed to fade around us and we were able to really just relax into each other and take it in.  It was a sweet moment and one I’m thankful to have.  The other is when we were leaving.  We had a vintage Bentley and chauffer and as we drove away, he took the back road to the interstate.  The road was dark, there was no traffic we drove down in what was many places a tree lined road.  It honestly felt like something out of a movie.  We were exhausted, excited and able to breathe for what seemed like the first time all day.  The driver was going slow and it seemed like in those ten minutes or so, time stood still.

How did you choose your venue? What elements drew you to it?
We chose the chapel we were married in because we fell in love with it the first time we saw it and it was also part of the church we are members at.  Our reception venue appealed because it was in an old historic factory and we loved the exposed brick and old window panes hanging at the entrance.

Your wedding was filled with gorgeous details.  Did any have special meaning? What was your favorite?
My grandmother’s wedding ring was attached to my bouquet and my mom made the Mr. & Mrs. Signs that were on our seats.  I loved everything and was really happy with how it all turned out – one of my favorite things was the wedding cake.  I had seen a picture online and fell in love.  I sent it to my fabulous baker and she was able to recreate it perfectly – I love how the ruffles tied in with my dress.  My husband is a huge University of Tennessee fan and his grooms cake was a replica of Neyland Stadium – I think it’s safe to say that was one of his favorites as well!

Tell us a little bit about your menu...
We decided to have delicious food catered by the restaurant of a family friend.  All of the recipes are from “Mamaw”, the original owner, and she helped to oversee that everything turned out beautifully.  We had parmesan crusted chicken, green been bundles, herb roasted potatoes, frozen strawberry salad, fresh rolls.  We also had our special macaroni and cheese brought in!

Looking back on your engagement and wedding, is there any advice you would give to brides in the planning process?
I would give the same advice that was often given to me.  Take a moment for the two of you.  I didn’t realize how very important it was until I look back and am so thankful that we did that.    But it all is such a blur and goes by so quickly; the two moments that I can remember with complete and utter clarity just as if I am looking at a picture are the two moments mentioned above.  I would also say that, yes it is a beautiful day and it is a momentous occasion, but remember that there is life after the wedding as well.  Prepare yourselves and your hearts for your marriage, not just the wedding.  At the end of the day, most people will barely notice the small details.  They really matter to you, which is fine, but in the course of everything, you won’t notice and it won’t matter that the “I Spy” game wasn’t handed out to the children.  What matters is the life that you have started together and memories you have made with your loved ones.

Lisa + Eric {St. Petersburg Yacht Club Wedding}

What a beautiful morning it is in Charleston and it's time to get today started with something I'm smitten with...a coastal wedding!  I just love a beautiful coastal wedding.  There's something so relaxing about being on the water...it's just bound to put everyone in a partying kinda mood!  Which is exactly what happened when Lisa + Eric were wed this past Spring in lovely St. Petersburg, Florida.  After a traditional ceremony at St. Paul's Catholic Church, the newlywed couple joined their bridal party and the fabulous team at K and K Photography for some seriously stunning group shots under a magnificent Oak tree.  They spent the rest of the evening at St. Petersburg Yacht Club where they treated their guests to a relaxing waterside atmosphere, delicious food and a kickin' band!

Brittany + Carter {Creek Club at I'on Wedding}

This morning we're sharing a flawless Charleston wedding from Joe Hendricks Photography.  The couple, Brittany + Carter, and their crew prepared for the big day at separate beach houses on Isle of Palms.  The ladies donned beautiful navy dresses from The Dessy Group via Bella Bridesmaid that were perfectly accented with darling spring bouquets from the gals at Ooh! Events.  Thanks to Charleston's delightful spring weather, they were able to say their 'I do's' outdoors along the banks of the Hobcaw Creek in a charming Lowcountry ceremony.  I would have been in heaven because they even had a bagpiper!  After the nuptials, they moved the party inside to The Creek Club at I'on where their guests were treated to some serious Lowcountry cuisine and a band that kept them on their feet all night long.  At the end of the evening, Carter surprised his glowing bride with a chartered boat ride from the reception to the after party.  Take a look at this AH-MA-ZING shot they were able to capture with the stunning Cooper River Bridge in the background.  I just love it.

Jordyn + Joe {Myrtle Beach Engagement}

It's October and you know what that means in South Carolina...it's time for the Fair!  From the bright lights and joyful rides to the deep fried Snickers bars (yum!) and fantastic entertainment, you can't beat a cool crisp October evening at the Fair.  Last week, the South Carolina State Fair kicked off in the Capitol City and in just a  few days the Coastal Carolina Fair begins in Ladson.  In honor of all the fun that's to be had in the Palmetto State over the next few weeks, we just HAD to share Jordyn + Joe's (you may remember their gorgeous wedding we  shared this past summer) Pavilion Nostalgia Park engagement session from our talented friend Gillian Reinhardt of Carolina Studios.  The Groom, Joe, was not thrilled about the idea of taking engagment photos, so his one request was it had to be somewhere fun and what better place than the Pavilion!  To give the session a little variety, the couple then headed over to the beach to catch the sunset and wrap up the day.

Prospect Hill Plantation Wedding {Rebecca + James}

For starters, I just have to mention that my cousin, Meaghan, was on The Knotty Bride yesterday...and she looks ah-maz-ing.  (Must run in the family :) ha!)  The Lowcountry Region is full of breathtaking venues.  They tend to be the perfect mix of coastal and elegance...and let's be honest, you just can't beat that.  Charleston is surrounded by quite a few barrier islands that will sweep you off your feet with their natural beauty.  Today's couple, Rebecca + James, selected the beautiful Prospect Hill Plantation on Edisto Island, South Carolina, which is just south of Charleston, to celebrate their wedding.  They enlisted the talented ladies of By Invitation Only to pull off their laidback, pink coastal affair.  The crew at Good Food Catering made sure their guests were treated to a healthy dose of Lowcountry cuisine. (Crab cakes? Yes, please!)  While photographer Christine LeGrand captured everything a Lowcountry Bride dreams of...gorgeous sunlit, darling details, a perfect backdrop (complete with a palmetto tree or two!), and a sweet, loving couple....

Tell us how you guys met...  I met James at a Carolina Gamecocks football game.  I had extra tickets and my sister’s husband brought his best friend, James.  That was in 2006.  We kept meeting at Carolina games like once a year, talking and hanging out.  In 2008, I called him up and asked him when he was going to take me on a date.  We went out that weekend and have been together ever since.

Let's hear about the proposal...
                James wanted to propose where it all started, so he wanted to propose at Williams-Brice Stadium.   It was a completely gloomy and rainy Memorial Day weekend and James said he wanted to go for a ride.  We drove down to the stadium and drove around the fairgrounds three times probably waiting for the rain to stop, which it never did.  He ended up parking in front of the stadium and got me out of the car.  He knelt down in a puddle and pulled out the most beautiful,perfect engagement ring and asked me if I would marry him.  Of course I said yes!  It wasn’t exactly how he had planned it but it was the thought that counts!!  We got married one year later on Memorial Day weekend.

What's your favorite picture from your wedding?
I can't choose a favorite picture because there are so many wonderful, meaningful moments that were captured, but I really like this photo on the hammock.  How much more Southern and laidback can you get that a hammock?!  I just love that it's just me and James and you can see all the details of the wedding - the venue, the colors, flowers, accessories.  I also love how happy we both are!
Out of the entire day, what was the most memorable moment?
That’s a hard one!!!  I would say our first kiss because it was perfect but honestly it was probably the vows!  I had asked the Pastor if we could include some additional vows.  During the ceremony, the Pastor told us we could recite the vows to one another.  I thought we would just be repeating them so I didn’t memorize them and I knew James didn’t know them.  I looked at James and without thinking said, “We’ll pass!”  It was a funny moment that made everyone laugh and is very indicative of our life.  When things don’t go as planned, we just try to laugh!!

How did you choose your venue? What elements drew you to Prospect Hill?
I bought a bunch of Charleston magazines and looked on a lot of websites to find some plantations in the Lowcountry.  I found a listing in the back of one magazine with different plantations and saw pictures of Prospect Hill and knew I had to go see it.  James and I made an appointment to visit.  We got in the car and knew we had found the perfect place for our wedding!  There was this beautiful white plantation home, rows of palm trees for a beachy feel, a pecan grove, a pond, and a gorgeous oak tree with a beautiful view of the water.  Exactly what we both wanted!

Your wedding was filled with gorgeous details.  Did any have special meaning? What was your favorite?
There were several details that were very special to me.  I only have one grandparent still living, my Nana (my paternal grandmother), but she was unable to come to the wedding because it was out of town.  She always wears brooches on her sweaters or dresses.  I needed something borrowed so I asked if I could borrow some of her brooches and wear them for the wedding.  I found a pink brooch that I attached to my bouquet, and  a teal brooch that I wore on my reception dress.  The necklace I wore was my maternal grandmother’s that my granddaddy had given her.  My mom gave it to me years ago and I told her I was going to wear it on my wedding day.  The necklace was a flower which fit really well into the wedding because the wedding was outdoors and my dress actually had some flowers on the sash.  I also really liked my cake topper.  I like being a little artsy and I decided to make the cake topper myself.  I painted the people and sewed the dress, suit, and bouquet.  I also included our three cats because James really wanted them to be a part of our wedding.  I love the way it turned out!  It was very us!!

Why did you choose to have A Lowcountry Wedding?
 I love the South and I knew I wanted a very southern wedding with oak trees and moss hanging down, something more laid back, easygoing.  James wanted a beach wedding, but I didn’t want to do the whole sand and wind thing!  So I thought a plantation wedding or something on the coast would be a perfect compromise.

Tell us a little bit about your menu.  Did you add any Lowcountry elements?
The food was catered by Good Food Catering and it was phenomenal!!!  I wanted all Southern food so we had crab cakes, barbecue, sweet potato fries, ham biscuits and shrimp and grits to name a few.  I wish I could have just stuffed my face the whole night!  It was the best wedding food I've ever had!!!! We also had a signature cocktail which was a merry mojito.  James' favorite drink is a mojito and I asked to add berries to it so it could be pink like our wedding colors

Looking back on your engagement and wedding, is there any advice you would give to brides in the planning process?
Definitely give yourself enough time to plan everything but not so much time that it drags on and on.  If you have certain ideas and visions for your wedding, do lots of research and don’t give up!  The internet will become your best friend!!!

Today's we're sharing a classic Nashville affair from Jonathon Campbell Photography.  Bride Keesha stunned in her off-the-shoulder gown (that I just love!) as she wed her college sweetheart on her daddy's farm.  The couple chose an elegant yellow color palette that they complimented with a beautiful white and black print.

Let's hear about your engagement...
Ben surprised me and hid the ring in my stocking on Christmas Eve of 2009. We were engaged for 16 months.

Your wedding was filled with gorgeous details.  Did any have special meaning? What was your favorite?
About 6 months before the wedding a storm came through our town and one of the trees from the double oak fell.  I was heartbroken. I had always imagined having my wedding under a tree. My dad and a family friend came to the rescue. I saw some old church windows at another venue online and asked if they could build the windows for me.  The windows have the most special meaning because my dad had built them by hand. At the end of the day the tree falling was actually a blessing because I have something special that my dad made and the ceremony was beautiful in front of the widows.
-Another special detail was our cookie bar. We had 8 different types of cookies and it was a hit. A friend of the family made over 1,000 cookies.

When I'm going through a wedding, there is always an image or two that stick out.  Sometimes it's a beautiful detail or an amazing shot but usually it's a special moment....and I just love Keesha's favorite shot as her and Ben have officially been pronounced husband and wife!

Tell us a little bit about your menu...
We wanted to have southern food that everyone would enjoy. We had Barbecue, baked beans, slaw, chips and salsa, cornbread, bottled 7-up, Coca-cola, Orange crush and fresh lemonade. For our favors we had a cookie bar with 8 different kinds of cookies.

Out of the entire day, what was the most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment of the day was the fireworks at the end of the wedding. It was everything I had hoped it would be and the fireworks just made everything come together in the end.

Looking back on your engagement and wedding, is there any advice you would give to brides in the planning process?
Enjoy the day and just take it all in because it goes by so quick!

The Wickliffe House {Jeana}

On the peninsula, you'll find a stunning Greek Revival Mansion located in one of Charleston's historic neighborhood.  The Wickliffe House is the ideal wedding venue for brides looking for a breathtaking Lowcountry venue.  From the heavenly chandeliers and pine wood floors, to the oil paintings and exquisite details in the woodwork, the interior of the home is simply immaculate.  On the outside you'll find a wide Charleston-esque piazza and a large lawn which is perfect for an outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour or even a large tented reception. Not only is The Wickliffe House one of Charleston's most popular wedding venues, it also made for a gorgeous backdrop for today's Lowcountry bride Jeana's bridal portraits.  Chi Photography was on hand to capture the beautiful Jeana in this quintessentially Southern bridal session

Janelle + Brian {Georgia Wedding}

  It's another rainy day in Charleston and while I really didn't feel like getting out of bed this morning, we do have some really exciting news to share.  It's no secret that Charleston is consistently ranked one of the country's top Wedding destinations but yesterday Conde Nast  Traveler Magazine ranked the Holy City as America's Top Travel Destination...impressive, huh?  Today we're sharing Janelle + Brian's rustic Georgia wedding from Jenn and Travis Photography.  The couple selected a scenic North Georgia venue to hold their intimate outdoor ceremony.  Following their nuptials, they moved the party inside to The Barn at High Point Farms in Flinstone, Georgia where they celebrated with family and friends and enjoyed the perfect scenery.
