Folly Beach Surprise Proposal by Caroline Ro Photography

Y’all, this might be the cutest proposal Folly Beach has ever seen, and we’re so glad that Charleston wedding photographer, Caroline Ro, has shared it with us.  You know you’ve got a good guy when he pulls out all the stop to ask for your hand in marriage and Groom-to-be,  Shawn, spared no sweet expense for the lovely Karlee.  He prepared to sweep his lady off her feet  in a secluded corner on Folly Beach where adorable Polaroids of the couple were strung from tree-to-tree.  After getting down on one knee and asking the beautiful Karlee to be his wife, the ecstatic couple were greeted by friends and family to celebrate their laid back Lowcountry engagement on the beach.  Thanks to the wonderful Caroline Ro Photography for capturing such a genuine and memorable Folly Beach Surprise proposal!

Charleston Yacht Club {Courtney + Adam}

We’ll don’t we have the perfect little Charleston wedding treat for you this morning!  Courtney + Adam enjoyed a gorgeous Lowcountry day along the water at the beautiful Charleston Yacht Club where they celebrated with family and friends.  Thanks to Richard Bell Photography for capturing the memorable coastal afternoon and to Bride Courtney for filling us in on all the details!  From the bride: " Adam and I have been best friends for years now, so this wedding is a long time coming. We are both outgoing people who love being on or near the water, being the beach or a lake. We are simple people as well, but we have our unique hints of creativity as a couple. We wanted to portray that in the details of our wedding when it came to our colors, chocolate brown and Tiffany blue, and our individual decorations. Mason jars are a central decoration piece of our wedding whether they be painted silver or decorated with ribbon with candles. Mason jars remind us of our Southern roots, giving our guests a feeling of comfort and relaxation. Burlap and twine are also other decoration choices that we couldn't do without. They both complement our simple style with a rustic edge thanks to Pinterest. From our window arrangements to our choices of foods, our wedding is what we would call "Savannah meets Charleston" as our love has for the past 3 and a half years."

Creek Club at I'On {Katie + Mark}

You know, I think we've only shared a wedding video one other time and it was forever ago, so I'm really excited that Charleston wedding vendors, Amanda + Jeff of Dreampop Media recently reached out to us to share this beauty!  Katie stunned in a one shoulder gown while her dapper husband-to-be wore his military attire.   The couple treated their guest to a wonderful Lowcountry evening laced with mason jars at the Creek Club at I'On.  Dinner included ham biscuits, sweet potato fries some serious donuts!

Boone Hall Plantation Wedding {Jessica + Jon}

I may have taken an unannounced vacay late last week (sorry!), and while I know I may have let you guys hanging, I promised it was much needed!  For starters, we wrapped up our first styled shoot at the SC Aquarium that went above and beyond my expectations.  I literally cannot wait to share what we created.  Then, we headed over to the Rice Mill Building to officially welcome the 1st ever NotWedding Charleston, and to say it was a blast is quite the understatement.  I wrapped things up with a weekend on Kiawah and now am ready to get back at it and deliver some serious Lowcountry loveliness :)  This first Charleston beauty comes to us from our friends Kristin Burke Photography and the gals at Ooh! Events.  It took place on the grounds of Boone Hall Plantation and it included everything we love so dearly...starting with those unreal chandeliers!  They incorporated a soft, feminine color palette with mason jar and burlap to create an effortless Southern evening!
