CAROLINE & SEAN
Sea Pines Resort Wedding
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Caroline and Sean wanted a natural, clean, and elegant look and feel for their day. They stuck to a neutral color palette with ivory, gold, and greenery.
How did you meet?
We met on November 16th, 2013 in Nashville, TN at a mutual friend’s 25th birthday party. It was a theme party, both of us were dressed in the same costume and we were introduced by our friend Casey Dawson. During the party, Sean invited Casey & I to join their group to a Nashville Predators game that night. Following the hockey game, we walked to one of our favorite Nashville karaoke dive bars, Ms. Kelli's, where Sean's performance of Paradise City by Guns N' Roses won me over and with the help of some liquid courage, I stole his phone and put my number in his contacts under the name "Caroline Love of your life Skarupa" (P.S. this is SO out of character for me & always surprises anyone that hears this story...but I guess if you know, you know!)
Where was your first date?
Our first date was at an Italian restaurant in Nashville called Caffe Nonna.
What do you like to do as a couple?
We love to travel and have new experiences, be with family and friends, attend concerts, relax at home and watch tv/movies, try new restaurants and foods.
How did you get engaged?
We went on a trip to Paris and Barcelona during the summer of 2017. On our second day of the trip Sean had a picnic planned in the most remote spot of Luxembourg Gardens, however, he didn't realize that we were not allowed to sit on the grass. After a nice police officer informed us of that, he suggested we to go to the designated area for picnics...which was obviously packed.
This may have altered Sean's plans a bit, but he remained calm and we had a wonderful Parisian picnic surrounded by cute french families and tourists like ourselves. After lunch, we walked to a more private area near a pond and we setup a GoPro to take a picture with the beautiful Luxembourg palace behind us. As we were taking pictures with the GoPro, Sean got on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I said yes :)
