Savannah wedding vendors, Callie Beale Photography and the design team of Ivory + Beau, teamed up this past Summer for a haunted wedding inspiration shoot oozing with Lowcountry romance. The site for the August afternoon was just East of Savannah at Bonaventure Cemetery along the Wilmington River. If Bonaventure Cemetery sounds familiar it's probably thanks to John Berendt's1994 novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil whose cover featured The Bird Girl statue from the historic grounds. The ladies of Ivory + Beau selected a bold color palette of deep reds, ivory, black and gold to set the mood. The Bride, Michelle Royal, wore a dark lip, loose curls and a sleek Anna Campbell with sweet cap sleeves and intricate bead work while the groom wore a grey suit and black bow tie. Wicked Cakes of Savannah created one of our favorite elements of the shoot, a four-tier black wedding cake complete with gold foil and piping details and beautiful sugar flowers. Thanks to Callie Beale Photography for capturing all the haunted elegance that Bonaventure Cemetery has to offer!
