SAVANNAH GA BRIDE
Amy Fine Stark
Amy Harleston Fine & Timothy Stark choose her godmother’s backyard on Burnside Island to host their late September celebration — a poignant choice as Amy’s parent’s also tied the knot at the waterfront home. With visions of a bohemian-inspired afternoon, Amy selected an eclectic color palette of dusty blue, gold and cranberry to highlight the natural setting while adding an elegant twist — think “hippie goes to the ball,” says Amy. To set the tone for the couple’s laid-back ceremony, Amy set out to find a gown worthy of matching her free-spirited self and turned to the team at Ivory + Beau to find the perfect design. With her, she brought her mother, cousin, aunt and maid of honor for a memorable day of laughing, and a little crying — happy tears, of course! “My experience was AMAZING,” recalls Amy of her time at the Savannah, Georgia boutique. “Ivory + Beau made me feel like a friend, not just a customer.” The winning dress was an off-the-shoulder, chiffon Sarah Seven gown with a hint of lace on the bodice. She paired it with a dark blue pair of pumps, delicate veil and organic bouquet of roses, king protea, blue thistle and greenery.
To complement her overall style and allow her to dance the night away with ease, she wore her hair in a loosely braided bun. The finishing touch was her signature red lip, in the day’s shade of cranberry. The stunning gown provided just the princess moment she was looking for, “It made me feel like Belle from Beauty & the Beast,” remembers Amy — her all-time favorite Disney movie — and to capitalize on the once-in-a-lifetime feeling, the couple played “Tale as Old as Time,” while they walked down the aisle.
