Staci + Marissa selected Savannah, Georgia for their destination wedding this past April. Both ladies dazzled in strapless gowns and effortless up-dos. Staci carried a bouquet of pillow-y white peonies while Marissa carried light pink garden roses. Their outdoor ceremony was held in the Machine Shop of the Georgia State Railroad Museum where each bride walked down the aisle with their fathers. After exchanging their vows, they made their way to the Roundhouse for a lovely Lowcountry reception. Long farm tables were set with silver chivari chairs, burlap table runners, mercury glass votives and low centerpieces of white hydrangeas and pink blooms. Guests enjoyed a food truck rodeo with Dark Shark Taco Attack and Handcrafted Popsicle. As the sun went down, candlelight and cafe lights set the mood before the newlyweds departed under a tunnel of sparklers. Thanks to Donna Von Bruening for capturing this magical Savannah night!
How we met from Staci - "I was a veterinary oncology technician and Marissa was one of my clients. Her dog, Paco, was diagnosed with lymphoma and so the story begins. She went through about a year and a half of treatment with Paco so we saw each other pretty regularly. He and I had a crazy bond. When I would come up to get a different patient, he would let a scream that Marissa had never heard before because I wasn't coming to get him. Marissa was also traveling a lot for work at this time. So not only was I Paco's technician, but I was also his pet sitter. After Paco passed, sparks started to fly between the two of us. I alway say that Paco got sick for one reason and that was to bring us together. He picked me out especially for his mommy."
