From the Bride: “Wedding planning was such a fun process for us both! Charleston holds a special place in both of our hearts and we couldn’t have picked a better venue for our intimate, timeliness, wedding. I’ve always been a more traditional kind of girl, and I knew that would be no different when it came to wedding planning. Although I have an appreciation for some of the modern trends that been brought about in wedding style, I’ve always been a fan of traditional, elegant, and timeless.
When thinking about what I wanted when it came to décor- my main concern was that it would be something I could look back at in 20 years and still love! When my amazing wedding planner revealed the décor proposal to me for the first time, I nearly cried! She incorporated the most unique draping ideas that I would had never thought of and it truly transformed the space in a way I had never seen! We also incorporated trees into the layout and I feel it brought such a different and beautiful element to the overall décor.
The morning of my wedding I kept saying “It hasn’t hit me yet! When will it hit me?”. I couldn’t believe that even with all the out-of-the-ordinary things going on, it wasn’t hitting me that it was my wedding day! It wasn’t until they opened the doors to the church and I began walking down the aisle that did it hit me... and it hit me hard! By far, my favorite moment of the day, was walking down to my groom.
A few people told us to make sure, that at some point throughout the night, we should sit back together and just take it all in. This was honestly the best (and hardest) advice to take. Hardest because everything happens SO fast and it’s hard to find a few free minutes, but so worth it because we got to see all the people we love, gathered together, having just as much fun as us - all in the celebration of marriage! Most of our guests traveled a long way to be there, and it was so special to see them having the best time!”
