Our friends at Fripp Island Resort sure know how to serve up dreamy Lowcountry soirees and they knocked it out of the park with Mary Katherine + Austin's Ocean Creek Golf course wedding. The beautiful beachfront resort offers countless oceanside venues, perfect for intimate gatherings or large crowds, all complete with first class service and coastal views. Mary Katherine + Austin's June 3rd ceremony was originally planned to take place on the 12th hole of the Ocean Creek Golf Course but the weather forecast called for rain, so in the days leading up to the event, they decided to move the service to the chapel, and boy was it a wonderful idea. Even though the rain stayed away, the early Summer day brought plenty of sunshine and quite a bit of humidity, making the move indoors a welcomed change of plans. Mary Katherine was the belle of the ball in a stunning Pronovias gown (how great is that neckline?) and effortless up-do that she accessorized with a fantastic bouquet of blush and white blooms. After becoming Mr. & Mrs. they made their way to the beach for some private portrait time with Emily Meeks Photography. When the reception started, Mary Katherine made a surprise announcement for her sister. Her sister and her wife had been married in an intimate courtroom wedding a year before and skipped the traditional festivities surrounding their big day. "They were deprived of a ceremony and reception," said Mary Katherine, so she gifted them with a first dance of their very own. How sweet! The rest of the evening, guests busted out their best dance moves on the dance floor before waving their sparklers as the couple departed!
