Maggie got her first test of weddings when interning for a local Charleston publication. When Kevin proposed, the couple knew the Holy City, and The Governor Thomas Bennett House, would be the perfect backdrop for their destination celebration and enlisted Winship Productions to design a flower-filled, Spring affair. To set the tone for the mid-April reception, the couple sent their guests beautiful watercolor invitations, designed by the bride herself. On the day of the wedding, Maggie and her bridesmaids spent the morning prepping with the team from Pink Dot Beauty Bar. Maggie suited up in a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown from Maddison Row that she accessorized with a dainty beaded headband, while her maids wore convertible Jenny Yoo dresses in a lovely hue of peach. She met her father for a wonderful first look before spending a few private moments with both of her parents. The couple said 'I do' in an outdoor ceremony surrounding the fountain where Kevin was dressed in a white dinner jacket and Brackish Bow Tie. The reception was a stunner, highlighted by a show-stopping floral chandelier from Branch Design Studio that hung over the dance floor. Reception tables were a mix of rounds and squares which were covered by soft linens and surrounded by white Chloe chairs. Each was beautifully topped with a low, garden-style arrangement of Spring blooms, including some of our favorites like peonies, garden roses, tulips, ranunculus and hydrangeas. As the couple was formally introduced, they were showered with a "flower-fetti" introduction before hitting the dance floor for their first dances. For cocktail hour, specialty drinks paired with passed hors d'oeuvres from Cru Catering made the rounds while guests enjoyed watching Wed on Canvas capture the scene.
