Elegant, effortless and oh-so-lovely are a few words that come to mind when I think of Steve + Laura's Colleton River Plantation Club wedding at The Dye Clubhouse. The duo married this past July in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the bride's private residence in Bluffton, South Carolina. The day of the wedding a horrible thunderstorm rolled through and threatened their plans. Event planner Stacy Catena Events was able to adjust the schedule by moving the first look inside and delaying the ceremony by twenty minutes, so the couple were able to have their waterside backdrop. Laura wore a lovely gown and beaded headband while her bridesmaids wore their choice of navy dress. Steve and his groomsmen wore grey suits, navy ties and succulent boutonnieres. After the ceremony, the couple departed via golf cart to explore the golf course and dock (which was unfortunately destroyed by Hurricane Matthew) with Studio 1250 Photography for some intimate Lowcountry photographs. They then joined their guests at Colleton River Plantation Club's Dye Clubhouse for a magical reception. Beautiful hardwood tables and natural x-back chairs set the tone for soft candlelight and bud vases full of white blooms, greenery and pink peonies from A Floral Affair.
