Pepper Plantation Wedding {Nikki + Kris}
If I could reach through this little laptop and hug (or maybe smooch!) Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay, trust me, I would...and I have a feeling you might want to, too! The dreamy images of this Charleston wedding that you are about to see are going to make you weak-in-the-knees. The couple under the massive Oaks...completely swoonworthy. This little beauty took place at The Pavilion at Pepper Plantation and is the perfect intimate mixture of vintage and rustic. Beautiful bride Nikki incorporated beautiful jewel tones, peacock feather and DIY elements throughout and even tackled the centerpieces herself! After a stunning ceremony overlooking the water, Duvall Events treated their guests to delicious Lowcountry cuisine and out-of-this-world service.
Sullivans Island Wedding {Brigid + Drew}
If you're considering an intimate setting for your Charleston wedding, you'll love Brigid + Drew's Lowcountry affair from Charleston wedding vendor, Reese Moore Photography. Thanks to Reese for giving us all the details... "Stunning bride Brigid and husband-to-be Drew wanted a small, intimate, elegant fete for their wedding, so the two found a beautiful private home with an epic view of Sullivan's Island for their big day. They welcomed guests with eco-friendly, signature glasses from Mr. B's Sustainable Glassworks, and the couple wed on the porch overlooking the sweeping views of the beach. Brigid cried tears of joy throughout the ceremony... as did every other person there. Literally not a dry eye in the place! Then, after some photos on the beach, it was time for an elegant 3 course dinner on a long table decked with burlap, mason jars, candles, tulips, and low green and white center pieces. Brigid and Drew did their first dance on the deck and sunset, the perfect ending to a perfect day!"
Dunes West Golf Club Wedding {Lauren + Andrew}
Next up, we've got Lauren + Andrew's Charleston wedding at Dunes West Golf Club! The couple wanted their wedding day to reflect their beach-y surroundings with a touch of Southern flair, so they went with a tan and teal color palette. Charleston Flower Market created beautiful sunflower bouquets and arrangements and Richard Bell Photography was on hand to capture the entire day!
Kiawah Island Wedding {Meghann + Jordan}
Lowcountry Wedding Details
I hope everyone had a fabulous, Fall weekend! We're kicking off this week with a round-up of some of our current obsessions. With the help of our trusty friend Pinterest, we ran across a handful of these details that would be the perfect addition to your Lowcountry wedding day :)
For whatever reason, trying to find something to hold your wedding cards that doesn’t look completely lame or cheesy tends to be a difficult task. This simple, yet classic, mailbox does the trick for any Charleston wedding. Surrounded with hydrangeas and candlelit, it’s the perfect addition to your outdoor, Plantation wedding under the Lowcountry stars!
This is something I wish I would have done at our reception. It was one of the many things that gets tossed to the side when you are frantically trying to tie up loose ends the weeks before you wedding. It’s a touching note to all of your guests expressing how much you appreciate the time and money they spent to be present at your big day. Let’s face it, most weddings in the Lowcountry are destination weddings which means your guest will be traveling tens of hundreds of miles to make it to Charleston, Hilton Head or Myrtle Beach, so it’s only appropriate to properly, and genuinely, tell them just how much it means to you.
Wedding day is crazy. It doesn’t matter how laid back you are in your normal life, the day-of, things are always like a blur, which is why I think breaking it up with an adorable text for your bridal party to your groom would be an unexpected surprise.
I’m almost glad I didn’t give my dad something like this. There were enough tears as it was! But I think this little handkerchief would be an oh-so touching and meaningful memento.
I just think this could be hilarious. This little gem could substitute as your guest book and it gives your guests a chance to share their thoughts about you and your husband. There is no telling the sweet (or crazy) stories some of them may remember.
...and finally, how adorable is this embroidered tie? Not only is it a sweet touch, but it makes the perfect keepsake for your Lowcountry wedding day!
Happy Planning!

Legare Waring House Wedding {Sarah + Philip}
With Philip in the Air Force, bride-to-be Sarah faced a bit of a time crunch as she planned for her Charleston wedding this past June. With a little over a month to plan, Sarah quickly enlisted the help of Fraiche Event Design to assist her in bringing her swanky, peacock vision to life. As luck would have it, the weather was perfect, so they were able to marry in front of their closest family and friends under the picturesque Oak trees of the Legare-Waring House. With the house in the backdrop, guests were treated to a beautiful, Lowcountry evening on the lawn where bold jewel tones graced the tables and the simple lighting set the mood. Thanks to Mell Bell of Richard Bell Photography for capturing this stunning, Lowcountry Wedding!

Savannah Wedding {Sarah + Patric}
Like many other Georgia Bulldogs, today I’m in the process of recovering from the serious stomping the Gamecocks gave us yesterday. While Saturday may have not gone the way I had hoped for, it sure did for the Florida Gators. In honor of their huge win over LSU, we’re sharing Gator Fans, Sarah + Patric's Lowcountry wedding, who I’m sure are still basking in the glory of yesterday’s big victory! How do I know they’re Florida fans you ask? Well, the whole bridal party is tebow-ing, so one can only assume! The duo tied the knot at The Inn at Ellis Square in beautiful Savannah, Georgia where Stay Forever Photography was on hand to capture the entire celebration!

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of a good Southern bridal portrait shoot, Add a picturesque, Pawleys Island backdrop, a beautiful, blushing bride and Priscilla Thomas Photography behind the lens and you've got a little slice of Lowcountry wedding heaven! Dressed in a strapless, lace gown, Southern bride Meg looked stunning on this perfect Spring day.
Southern Weddings {Haymarket Designs}
I recently ran across Haymarket Designs on Pinterest and instantly fell madly, deeply in love! With their preppy style and fresh modern edge, Haymarket Designs can provide that extra touch of Southern flair to any of your Lowcountry wedding events. They've got an adorable variety of koozies that would be a perfect addition for a couple's shower or a lively bachelorette weekend at the beach. Better yet, having a hard time picking out bridesmaids gifts? I know some of my gals would have gone bananas over those precious wine totes...just sayin! My favorite part, you can customize every item by selecting the design, color and font of your choice. P.S. I know it's Wednesday morning, but tell me this doesn't make you want a Corona?!
Pelican Watch Shelter {Melissa + Steven}
If you're planning a destination wedding in the Lowcountry and are looking for low-key venue by the beach, then Melissa + Steven's Charleston wedding will be right up your alley! The couple selected the Pelican Watch Shelter to host their reception and it was the perfect location for their Folly Beach affair. Guests were treated to a beautiful, coastal reception of yellows and coral designed by Charleston Wedding Design and Lowcountry cuisine from Hamby Catering and Events. They joined Richard Bell Photography on the beach after the reception for photos and even though it was high tide, it was sure worth it!

Old Wide Awake Plantation {Lauren + Garrett}
Lauren + Garrett tied the knot this June, just outside of Charleston, South Carolina, at the beautiful, Old Wide Awake Plantation. While creating their Lowcountry wedding, the couple wanted to reflect their Southern roots, strong family bonds and modern vintage style...and thanks to Richard Bell Photography, we get to see every last detail! Lauren prepped for the day in a monogrammed button up, before her and her maids threw on their cowboy boots and gowns. As an ode to the bride and groom, guests were gifted navy croakies to honor their Tennessee and South Carolina heritage. The rustic reception was accented to perfection with navy and burlap decor, while guests dined on shrimp and grits and a slew of other Lowcountry treats.
Island House Wedding {Ellen + Bryan}
The Lowcountry is all about the water, so it's no surprise that brides and grooms flock to many of the area's wedding venues that highlight the region's most-prized possession and today's couple, Ellen + Bryan is no different! They took full advantage of the Island House's prime location on the banks of the Stono River when planning their late, Spring nuptials. They started with a low-key, outdoor ceremony before treating their guests to a lively, Charleston reception by the water! Guests were treated to Lowcountry cuisines from Hamby Catering including tasty ham biscuits and a to die for Shrimp and Grits bar! With the help of Elle Courtney Events and the floral design team of O.K. Florist, the entire event featured a preppy, Southern color palette of navy and pink. As always, thanks to the oh-so-talented team of Richard Bell Photography for capturing this gorgeous, Southern wedding and that beautiful, Charleston sunset.
