Downtown Wedding {Kari + Chris}

I’m just going to give you a heads up, this Charleston wedding makes my heart melt. The couple, Kari + Chris, hosted their closest friends and family for a dreamy, Lowcountry evening South of Broad filled with sweet glances and lots of love. The duo had an intimate outdoor ceremony before heading down to the Battery to spend some quality newlywed time together. Not only do I love those beautiful, natural bouquets from Compost in My Shoe, but I can’t get enough of all the swoon-worthy images Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay captured. I had a hard enough time figuring out which ones to post, I’m not sure how Kari + Chris decided which ones to frame. My guess..all of them!

I’m pretty much obsessed with Bride Lynsey’s chic wedding gown from Gown Boutique of Charleston. It completely sets the tone for the rest of their elegant wedding! Their love story began as a long distance romance with Steve residing in the Lowcountry while Lynsey was in London. Now that the couple calls the Holy City home, they thought the romantic city was the perfect place to say ‘I do.’ They started with a first look at The Battery before heading to McCrady’s for an evening of exquisite celebration! To put it simply, T. G. I. F. The Lowcountry’s in for quite the weekend; Spring is unofficially here, the temperature’s clocking in around 80 and the Charleston Food + Wine Festival has set up shop in Marion Square…is it 5 o’clock yet? I can barely contain my excitement. To get this party started, we’re riding off into the weekend with this smashing engagement session from the talented Emily Horton Photography. The couple, Megan + Steve, reside in Washington D.C. but couldn’t think of a better place to have their wedding then beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. They spent the perfect Fall afternoon gallivanting around the Battery and Waterfront Park to capture some gorgeous, sun-drenched images.
