Yesterday, my sister Emma called me to tell her boyfriend had finally proposed! Yay! I’m so excited and happy for them. Being engaged is such a fun, memorable time and I, personally, can’t wait for the wedding planning to begin So, now all I have to do is plan a trip out to Houston to see that shiny, new rock! Congrats, you two!
Since the newly engaged couple resides in Texas, I thought what better way to kick off the week then with a vintage-inspired engagement session from one of my favorite Texas photographers, Love Caryn Photography. This darling couple wanted their quirky, off-beat style to shine through and with the help of Love Caryn Photography, they were able to achieved some stunningly beautiful images.
Oh, and make sure to check out their adorable video…
For Round Two, we’ve got another beautiful Texas affair. Amy + Casey’s got married this past August in Palestine, Texas (just outside of Dallas) and one of our favorites, AlexM Photography, was their capture all the details. Their wedding was held at the enchanting Elmwood Gardens and was planned to a T by Perfect Plans. Their stunning outdoor ceremony had a Southern glam vibe that included some amazing draping and a gorgeous chandeliers. While the bridal party rocked all black, Amy incorporated pops of purple and green throughout the evening.
Just in case you haven’t heard, tomorrow we’ve got an exciting giveaway for our favorite Lowcountry Wedding Vendors…so don’t miss it! Today’s wedding was captured by David Lunt Photography at the Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas. In case you’ve never been, Fort Worth is a pretty awesome city. It’s got that Southern ease mixed with a Western Charm which is exactly why Sarah + CJ had to travel all the way from Kentucky just to tie the knot in this fabulous Texas city. Since having a destination wedding meant that some of their guests would be unable to make the trip, Sarah asked they donate a broach to her which she then made into her beautiful bouquet. Sarah + CJ let their personalities shine through in their retro chic wedding. Sarah looked ah-mazing in her Marilyn Monroe-esque gown, fab red shoes and gorgeous birdcage veil while CJ stayed true to himself by sporting a pair of black Chuck Taylors.
I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving! Sorry we were MIA for a few days, between traveling, eating and shopping a quick vacay was necessary. Today’s bride Meagan is a small town Southern girl from Brady, Texas. Not only is she stylish (she’s a stylish for Stella & Dot) and beautiful (can I have her hair?) but she’s also a foodie (she’s the brains behind Zesty Bite) and a runner (marathoner, that is!)…so, it’s no surprise Shaun is head over heels for her! This past Spring, the couple met up with the talented Shuffield Photography in Meagan’s hometown for their flawless engagement session.
Laura + Chris were married this past September just outside of Dallas, Texas. The couple were hoping for a simple, yet elegant affair and that’s just what they had at the lovely Honeysuckle Gardens. Laura went with a purple and orange color palette that was fitting of their rustic venue and added some fun punches of color to their wedding day. From the meaningful ceremony shots to all the darling details, the talented team from Mulberry Lane Studio was on hand to capture the couple’s memorable day.
Last December, my husband’s cousin was tying the knot in Fort Worth, Texas. It was my first trip EVER to the Lonestar State and I couldn’t have had a better time. Fort Worth is such a cool, clean city. It’s got a great mix of Western heritage, fabulous shopping and a lively bar scene (Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar, anyone?) All and all, I would highly recommend a trip if you haven’t already been. So, needless today say, I was pretty excited when Lyncca Harvey sent over Heather + Kolby’s Fort Worth Wedding. The couple wed this past summer at the gorgeous Fort Worth YWCA where they treated their guests to a little Texas cuisine, some kickin’ tunes and a seriously good time!
I’m so glad I finally get to share this amazing rustic wedding with yall. When Alex, of AlexM Photography, recently sent over these images, I couldn’t get enough of all the character and awesome details the bride + groom incorporated. The darling couple, Kim + Chris, wed this past June in Hooks, Texas on the grounds of Ramage Farms. The picturesque North East Texas venue was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony and reception and made for gorgeous images. Kim donned a vintage layered gown for her big day that she paired perfectly with silver and turquoise jewelry. As she made her way down the aisle towards Chris, she carried a bright colored bouquet of calla lilies and roses made by the fabulous Twisted Vines. Enjoy!
