I’m still in a slight state of shock that it’s already 2013. I mean, boy, does time fly! We’re kicking off 2013 with a dreamy, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens wedding from the talented crew at MCG Photography. This beauty was full of swoon-worthy, pink details that were designed to complete perfection by Charleston wedding vendor, Engaging Events. After a touching, outdoor ceremony, guests were treated to color-coordinating, Strawberry Rhubarb Mojitos during cocktail hour in the Horticultural Maze Garden. The celebration then moved to the tent where guest dined on Lowcountry cuisine served family style and a fabulous cake from Elaine’s Events with layers of banana’s foster and chocolate ganache and caramel mousse!

I can’t believe we’re wrapping up 2012! It’s been a wonderful year here at A Lowcountry Wedding and couldn’t have done it with our your support. We’ve got big things in store for 2013 and can’t wait to share all the big news! To close out the year, we’re sharing a stunner from a few of our favorites! She wore a beautiful, strapless gown with a killer, orchid bouquet, while her husband-to-be was dapper in his dress blues. They said ‘I do’ in a small, outdoor ceremony and then joined their friends and family at the Embassy Suites for an evening of celebration! Since it’s Sunday Funday in the Lowcountry, we’ve decided to shower you with a few of our favorite Southern weddings. This darling gem comes to us from Reese Moore Weddings and was shot at one of our favorite Charleston wedding venues, Creek Club at I’On. Guests were welcomed to the reception by the cheerful sounds of The Plantation Singers and fresh, Carolina peaches in wicker and burlap baskets. They sipped on specialty drinks in mason jars, engaged in a casual game of cornhole and dined on authentic, Lowcountry cuisine. We’re talking about a delicious dose of barbecue, mac and cheese and buttermilk cornbread! They bid farewell to their guests in a classic sparkler exit before hopping in a boat to end the night!
