It’s always kinda weird to write a post when it involves people you know, which is why I’ve been trying to write this one up for the past few weeks. You want to make sure the images are arranged just perfectly and all the words sum up just how excited you are for the twosome…so stressful! Emma’s my adorable little sister who also serves as a Grammar Nazi when it comes to A Lowcountry Wedding Her and her fiance Eric are tying the knot in Atlanta this coming October and while they might not be getting hitched in the Lowcountry, their rustic engagement session from Katy Albano Photography is just too awesome not to share! Partially because they even invited their wonky-eared pup, Henna Mae. So happy for you two and can’t wait for your big ol’ Catholic ceremony!
Up next is Christine + Nick’s sweet Southern engagement session from Charleston Wedding Photography! This adorable North Carolina couple is simply head-over-heels for each other and are looking forward to their Charlotte wedding at St. Mary’s Church. I can only imagine how gorgeous Christine (and her beautiful hair!) will look as she strolls down the aisle this August.
It’s Southern Wedding Sunday and we’re diving in head first with Sue + Brian’s nautical-inspired engagement session from one of our favorite Charleston wedding vendors, the wonderfully talented Dana Cubbage Wedding Photography. I’m slightly obsessed with this perfect combination of one seriously photogenic couple, a dose of dreamy natural light and the preppy backdrop of the marina. To top it all off, I’m crazy about Sue’s fresh clothing selections. I’m gonna need that scarf, please
Is it Friday already?!? Isn’t it crazy how fast we can blow through a week? In case you missed it, we’re in the midst of hosting a Southern Living Weddingsgiveaway. That’s right! You can win yourself one free copy of their latest edition, so check out all the details right here. To top off this winter weekend, we’re leaving you with a gorgeous Lowcountry shoot from Carolina Studios by Gillian Reinhardt. The adorable Boston duo of Jessica + Joel had always hoped for a fall-themed engagement session and that’s just what they got, well, Southern style anyway, at the Conway Riverwalk. Don’t you just love it!
Our friends over at Southern Living recently released their annual Weddings publication and, as luck should have it, there’s a whole lot of Lowcountry loving going on! Our wonderful Charleston CVB has some prime real estate and a gorgeous coastal presence throughout the issue. One of our favorites, Charleston wedding vendorVirgil Bunao Photography is featured with Lindsay + Brad’s oh-so-lovely RiverOaks wedding. Not only will each copy provide you with a little dose of the coast we all love the most, it is also filled to the brim with the perfect Southern wedding details that we all love so dearly. Lucky for you gals, the team at Southern Living has decided to offer our Lowcountry readers ONE brand spanking new copy of their latest must-have Southern weddings Bible! If you’re in the mood for some loveliness that just won’t quit, then I’m quite certain this little Virgil Bunao number will do just the trick. The effortless fashion shoot took place downtown at the historic Thomas Bennett House where the crew at Out of Hand created some amazing headpieces to top off gorgeous Leanna‘s chic looks. Lauren Moser was on hand to handle hair and make up, and I must say I would love to have her talents included in my morning routine. All and all, we can’t get enough of this all-star cast!
I just ran across this adorable, burlap guestbook idea from Formal Fringe and just had to share it with all my Lowcountry ladies. Weddings in Charleston, Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach tend to boast guest lists from all corners of the globe, so what a great way for all in attendance to show off the place they call home. Pair it with a Firefly and Lemonade during cocktail hour and I can’t think of a better conversation starter!
