Californians Shaylan + Joshua recently made their first trip to Charleston where they met up with one of our friends, Carolina Photosmith, for a dreamy South Carolina engagement session at the beautiful Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. The couple enjoyed the picturesque scenery, beautiful bridges and that lovely Lowcountry breeze. We’ve got our fingers crossed that after their engagement session these two lovebirds were bitten by the “Charleston bug” and we’ll soon be making plans for a destination wedding along the Coast!
Not only is Charleston home to countless Lowcountry weddings ever year, but it also takes the cake for elopements and beautiful vow renewals. Ashley + Anthony recently renewed their wedding vows in an intimate ceremony at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens with a cute, vintage picnic under the dreamy Oak trees. The couple and their sweet daughter enjoyed a beautiful styled picnic and cake from D’lish as the overlooked the charming grounds, and then took a romantic stroll about the plantation with Reese Moore! A few chickens even joined in the celebration!
Just in case you haven’t heard, we’ve teamed up with Priscilla Thomas Photography to bless one lucky couple with an 8-hour wedding photography package! Entries are due on March 31, 2013 at midnight, so check out all the details here and get a move on! To top off this week, we’re wrapping things up with a beautiful Magnolia Plantation and Gardens wedding from Richard Bell Photography. The sweet duo, Sarah + Richard, wed in an traditional church ceremony on a crisp day in November. They later joined their guests for an evening of dancing, s’mores by the fire and one heck of a Jim Smeal creation!
Emily + Andrew tied the knot at, hands down, one of our favorite Lowcountry wedding venues…the gorgeous Magnolia Plantation and Gardens! Emily stunned in an off-the-shoulder, lace gown that she paired with a perfect pair of loafers, while her bridesmaid dazzled in a peach gown. Lucky for us, the talented Carmen Ash Photography was there to capture the moment as the couple said ‘I do’ in a dreamy, outdoor ceremony under the oaks. Don’t you just love those umbrellas? With the assistance of the crew at Intrigue Design & Events, the sweet couple treated their guests to quite the reception including tasty, Lowcountry cuisine from Good Food Catering (let me get some of those ham biscuits!), a heavenly dessert station, cigar bar and late night snacks! Thanks to Absolutely Charleston, Emily + Andrew exited in a sea of sparklers as they departed under the Charleston stars.
