It’s Friday and I get to present and awesome contest to all of our loyal ALW readers and that always makes me smile! But now I want to make you smile. In honor of her brand new website, we’ve teamed up with our friend and Charleston wedding photographer, Mackenzie of The Click Chick Photography, for a big ol’ giveaway that we’re positive will have you grinning from ear-to-ear. The best part is it combines two of our favorite things…a free wedding photography package and Pinterest. My kind of heaven!
And let’s be serious, who doesn’t want their wedding captured by an awesome photographer and then featured on A Lowcountry Wedding! Excited?! I knew you would be! Now, for the rules…
Margaret & Jesus married on June 22, 2013 under large majestic oaks on the coast of South Carolina. The couple lives in DC and wanted an intimate southern destination wedding, and Lord knows that’s exactly what they got when they ventured to the Lowcountry! The overall vibe was natural, beautiful and elegant.
Margaret was breathtaking in a stunning Vera Wang wedding gown and gold sparkly Kate Spade flats. She carried loose stems of white and yellow seasonal flowers with a pop of pink. The ceremony was lined with tin bails of sweet baby’s breath flowers. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on custom built wooden tables draped with lace and beautiful flowers.
For the reception, Margaret & Jesus joined their guests in a large tent draped with cafe lighting and enjoyed local southern flair foods and seafood paella. The couple loves hot sauce so, naturally, they had to have a hot sauce bar. The Tao Reed band played well into the night. Everyone lit paper lanterns in the end and were whisked away in a vintage green car. It was an celebration with impeccable style in a natural and elegant setting and we’re so glad Donna Von Bruening was there to capture all the details!
Ashley & Drew were married in the beautiful First Scots Presbyterian church in downtown Charleston. The day’s celebrations continued at The Island House on John’s Island under twinkling strands of lights hung from their airy reception tent. Upon their arrival, guests were asked to sign river rocks as a nod to the bride and groom’s first anniversary. We’re loving how the Lowcountry views were complimented by the modern outdoor décor. The bride chose a deep navy and soft ivory color scheme for her flowers designed by The Flower Cottage, guests’ favors, and table settings….and that gown, that gown from Gown Boutique of Charleston is stunning! An exit under a shower of rice made for a perfect ending to their enchanting Charleston wedding night. Thanks to Riverland Studios for capturing all the details!
These two are just so stinkin’ adorable. I mean, I just love them, I want to be them and if their wedding is even half as adorable as their Legare Waring House engagement from Charleston wedding photographers, Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay is, then I just can’t wait to see it. After scouring all 50 states and even a few foreign countries, the precious duo hit the jackpot when they stumbled upon the Lowcountry…and we’re so glad they landed in Charleston. “Legare Waring House captured our hearts from the moment we saw the Avenue of Oaks, so we were thrilled at the opportunity to split our engagement shoot between its lush landscapes and the streets of downtown Charleston. A sun-soaked afternoon in a charming, historical city with a fistful of balloons and the best photographers in town–it’s the stuff that e-shoot dreams are made of!”
Who doesn’t love to spend an afternoon at the Pavilion Nostalgia Park with your husband-to-be and a handful of colorful balloons!? This girl! Especially when Carolina Studios by Gillian Reinhardt is behind the camera lens to capture all the sweet details. Caitlin + Ryan spent a chilly Fall day gallivanting around the Myrtle Beach park and you can just see their love shining through!
I doesn’t happen too often, but we’re dishing out a little Saturday morning wedding loveliness that we hope you love as much as we do! Carmen + Mack tied the knot just South of Hilton Head in beautiful Savannah, Georgia at The Westin at the Savannah Harbor. The couple took full advantage of their surroundings by having an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Riverfront. Carmen stunned in a strapless lace gown from Priscilla of Boston while her maids rocked floor length gowns in shades of brown. Kreative Kreations designed a beautiful reception with a Fall inspired color palette as Carmen + Mack celebrated the night away with their guests in the Westin’s stunning ballroom. Thanks to Mark Williams Studio for capturing all the lovely details!
You know what this girl loves…a Boone Hall wedding. Spending an evening at the Cotton Dock sure does take me to my Lowcountry happy place. It’s effortless, indescribably beautiful and when you mix in that coastal breeze, you’ve got a combination that just can’t be beat. Now, let’s add in the adorable bride and groom, Whitney + Jamie, the talented STUDIO 1250 Photography and the creative masterminds over at Ooh! Events and we’ve got a rustic Charleston wedding that you’ll really want to sink your teeth in! We’re obsessed with their sweet pink color palette, those lovely bridesmaids dresses and Whitney’s killer shoes!
