Pastel Wedding Gowns {Trends}

Please excuse my absence the past few days. I’ve been on the road and far from my laptop! Everything will be back to normal tomorrow but until then, I wanted to leave you with some prettiness that’s oh-so easy on the eyes. I’ve been digging the color wedding gown trend in soft pastels a-la Jessica Biel. That little hint of color takes the romance level up a few notches why still keeping it traditional for this ol’ gal.

Southern Wedding {Alexa + Derek}

Every single time I lay my eyes on a wedding shot by CivicPhotos, I immediately go weak in the knees. Each image is dripping with romance and it’s no different with Alexa + Derek’s Spring wedding. The couple tied the knot this past May at The Gallery in Houston, Texas in front of their closest friends and family. The entire Southern soiree highlighted their personalities from the sassy, pink bridesmaids dresses to the big ol’ cowboy hats!

The Rock Quarry at Carrigan Farms was the stunning backdrop for the afternoon and I can’t get enough of the natural beauty. Southern Engagement {Marie + David}

As we gear up for Turkey day this week, we’ll be taking a short break from all things Lowcountry to share some of our favorite weddings and e-sessions from below the Mason Dixon line. First up, is Marie + David’s Tennessee engagement from Amber Davis Photography. This Southern gem was shot just as the sun went down, so the lighting was just perfect, in a romantic field. The cozy, relaxed atmosphere was the ideal spot for this sweet couple and their adorable pooch!

Rock Smith Farms {Emily + Andrew}

The things Ricki Ford can do with a camera tend to leave me speechless and, to be honest, I have no words for the Lowcountry loveliness you’re about to feast your eyes on. Ricki teamed up with Gigi Noelle Events for this heavenly shoot at Rock Smith Farms in Myrtle Beach and, well, they nailed it! Gigi Noelle created a whimsical color palette of grey and yellow that was accented with pops of soft pink. Not only do I adore Emily’s romantic gown from Coastal Bridal, but the chunky pearl necklace and dreamy birdcage veil that topped of the look are pure perfection. Oh, and those striped invitations…love ‘em!
