These two are just so stinkin’ adorable. I mean, I just love them, I want to be them and if their wedding is even half as adorable as their Legare Waring House engagement from Charleston wedding photographers, Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay is, then I just can’t wait to see it. After scouring all 50 states and even a few foreign countries, the precious duo hit the jackpot when they stumbled upon the Lowcountry…and we’re so glad they landed in Charleston. “Legare Waring House captured our hearts from the moment we saw the Avenue of Oaks, so we were thrilled at the opportunity to split our engagement shoot between its lush landscapes and the streets of downtown Charleston. A sun-soaked afternoon in a charming, historical city with a fistful of balloons and the best photographers in town–it’s the stuff that e-shoot dreams are made of!”
Bride-to-be Brianna enlisted the help of MOD Events to design an elegant but slightly non-traditional Charleston wedding, which was evident in her chic, blush gown and black engagement ring. Her bridesmaids donned white BCBG dresses and the groomsmen were in black, as Brianna and her husband-to-be, Avery, said their vows before the dreamy Avenue of Oaks at the historic Legare-Waring House. After their romantic ceremony, the couple partied into the night at a reception punctuated by vibrant flower arrangements from Branch Design Studio, delicious food by Royal Grand Events, and a great dance party! Thanks to Reese Moore Weddings for capturing all the details!
This Lowcountry tale begins at the romantic Legare Waring House where stunning Oak trees create the perfect backdrop for a picturesque Southern wedding. With the help of Charleston Flower Market, Rory Metz of Jubilation designed an elegant outdoor affair with lovely pops of purple for Jodi + Brian’s Charleston wedding. Thankfully, the weather shaped up and gave way for an evening of delicious cuisine from Duvall and tunes from The Highballs. Thanks to amelia + dan photography for capturing another Lowcountry beauty!
I’ve been dying to share Brookley’s Charleston wedding at the stunning Legare Waring House and I feel like today is the perfect day! Since they decided on a destination wedding, the couple took their time planning every intimate detail and, with the help of Declaration Boutique, it sure shows! I particularly LOVE those adorable, South Carolina pillows that graced the patio chairs. Too cute! Brookley wowed in timeless lace gown by Allure Bridals while the men rocked classic black tuxedos. The sweet couple said ‘I do’ in a romantic, outdoor ceremony under the Oaks as officiant, Christy Loftin, pronounced them husband and wife. The crowd celebrated with Lowcountry cuisine from Cru Catering, cake from D’lish and the tunes of Palmetto Soul! Thanks to King Street Studios for capturing all the wonderful details!
With Philip in the Air Force, bride-to-be Sarah faced a bit of a time crunch as she planned for her Charleston wedding this past June. With a little over a month to plan, Sarah quickly enlisted the help of Fraiche Event Design to assist her in bringing her swanky, peacock vision to life. As luck would have it, the weather was perfect, so they were able to marry in front of their closest family and friends under the picturesque Oak trees of the Legare-Waring House. With the house in the backdrop, guests were treated to a beautiful, Lowcountry evening on the lawn where bold jewel tones graced the tables and the simple lighting set the mood. Thanks to Mell Bell of Richard Bell Photography for capturing this stunning, Lowcountry Wedding!
If you’ve ever stepped foot in the Lowcountry, there’s a good chance you’ve developed a soft spot in your heart for the region and I can always see that adoration when checking out a couple’s engagement session. Arizona couple Laura + Cory are currently planning their destination wedding in Charleston and they recently teamed up with Shannon of Riverland Studios for this dreamy engagement session at two of my favorite locations; the classic Legare-Waring House and the laid back shores of Folly Beach. From their comfortable demeanor and flawless clothing selections to the stunning venues and romantic photography, every detail was pure perfection. Oh, I forgot to mention that Laura even decorated one of the abandoned boats of Folly Road to create a personalized backdrop!
Our friends over at Richard Ellis Photography recently sent over Jennifer + Patrick’s timeless Charleston wedding and we just couldn’t wait to share it with you! Last February, on the grounds of Charlestowne Landing, the couple tied the knot under the breathtaking avenue of oaks. Since Patrick had proposed under the same oaks trees just months beforehand (with his great-grandmother’s engagement ring!), the historic grounds were the only option for their wedding day location. After their beautiful outdoor ceremony, the couple moved the reception to the lawn of the Legare Waring House. Here, guests enjoyed a fabulous assortment of Charleston cuisine from Saigon Catering, exquisite natural floral arrangements from Country & Lace and the lively Joe Clarke Big Band who kept the crowd dancing all night long! As the sun set behind the gorgeous Legare Waring House, it made for a spectacular backdrop to a stunning Lowcountry wedding!
