I’m kinda spoiled, well really spoiled, by all the fabulous Southern weddings and engagement sessions that talented Lowcountry wedding vendors send to my inbox. The prettiness just won’t quit and, of course, I don’t ever want it to! But what I love even more than dreamy submissions from vendors is when our sweet brides share part of their wedding journey with us! Today’s darling ALW bride Lauren sent over her classic Downtown Charleston engagement session from Sara Parker Photography, and I just had to share it with you. How gorgeous is the shot with the Cooper River Bridge in the background!?!

We’re cooking up another crazy week here on the A Lowcountry Wedding blog and we’re hoping all of you beautiful Southern belles are ready to revel in the fabulousness of this adorable Charleston wedding from Lindsey A. Miller Photography and a crazy, talented crew of Charleston wedding vendors. The perfect Southern fete took place at one of our favorite Charleston wedding venues, Harborside East. Nestled at the foot of the Cooper River Bridge, this one-of-a-kind venue offered breathtaking views for Casey + Allen’s outdoor ceremony and relaxing, Spring evening. The crew at MOD Events incorporated sweetgrass bouquets and boutonnieres, burlap accented centerpieces, delicious Lowcountry cuisine from Jim-N-Nick’s BBQ, and classic signature cocktails for a truly magical, Charleston wedding.

It’s been in the works for awhile now, but we’re excited to finally kick off a new segment! We’re constantly getting inquiries from our Lowcountry brides asking for our guidance in determining their perfect wedding venue. So, for your viewing pleasure, you’ll find that every Friday we’ll be featuring some of our beloved Lowcountry Wedding Venues! We’ll cover our favorites from up and down the South Carolina coastline (Hilton Head, Charleston, Myrtle Beach…you name it!) and they’ll range from beautiful Southern Plantations to historic landmarks and modern hotels to waterfront properties.

To properly get this party started, we’re featuring one of Charleston’s most spectacular, waterfront wedding venues…and boy, is it a stunner! Just over the bridge from Downtown Charleston, you’ll find the breathtaking, Harborside East located at the base of the Ravenel Bridge. This versatile venue boasts over 10,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor function space with killer views of the Charleston Harbor…not too shabby, eh? It’s the perfect wedding venue for any Charleston bride looking for a chic, refined atmosphere with that signature, laid back lowcountry vibe and a cool, coastal breeze.

Harborside East offers four waterfront ceremony options with views of the bridge and an on-site bridal room for you and your bridesmaids to prep. Oh, and your guests will be provided 200 on-site parking spaces. Pretty clutch.
