There aren’t many things I love more than a classic Boone Hall Bridal Session. One of Charleston’s most-sought after wedding venues offers an assortment of swoon-worthy backdrops that are perfect for a picturesque, Lowcountry bridal session. Blushing bride Amy threw on her cowboy boots for an effortless afternoon at the historic plantation. Lucky for us, Chi Photography was there to capture all the dreamy details!
It’s no question that the Lowcountry is blessed with some of the most jaw-dropping wedding venues in the South and one that will always find it’s way to the top of my venue list is Charleston’s Boone Hall Plantation. It’s got everything a Lowcountry bride could dream of….Spanish moss dripping from every tree, a sprawling plantation home encircled by a stunning wrought-iron fence and immaculate grounds that make for the perfect Lowcountry backdrop….I mean, the place is just magical. So, it’s no surprise that Boone Hall is the venue of choice for dreamy, Charleston weddings and swoon-worthy bridal sessions. Lucky for us, the talented Chi Photography captured Southern Belle,Amanda as she posed for the camera in her airy, textured gown and sassy pink heels.
Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly gawk anymore over a wedding, Chi Photography sent over Heather + Bart’s Pavilion at Patriots Point affair and I’m right back to square one! For starters, I die over this color palette of brown, purple and green. I mean, I almost can’t handle it. It’s vibrant and rich and just makes me want to see more and more of these gorgeous Branch Design Studio bouquets. Amazing. Secondly, the adorable couple picked the perfect Lowcountry venue to host their nuptials…wouldn’t you say? The Pavilion at Patriots Point not only offers a beautiful scenery, but it also allows offers countless options! Heather + Bart had an elegant outdoor ceremony that was accessorized with chic white umbrellas, petals along the aisle and simple, yet stunning, lanterns. After saying ‘I do’, they posed for portraits with the Charleston Harbor in the background before joining their guest under the tent to get the celebration started. Relish Catering delivered a delicious dose of Lowcountry cuisine while Branch Design Studio transformed the space into a swanky, coastal atmosphere with fabulous centerpieces.
Alright, who’s up for a gorgeous Lowcountry engagement session at the beach?! This girl! Our lack of winter has me yearning for Summertime and long days relaxing on Folly Beach, so what better way to satisfy my craving (and probably yours, too!) than with an easy-going session along the coast! Folly is a casual, coastal town just minutes from Downtown Charleston and is the perfect spot for bride’s looking for a laid back beach wedding. Blessed with a perfect day by the water, the talented Chi Photography captured Haley + Robert in their element with stunning oceanside views. Beautiful!
This past Fall, our friends over at Chi Photography spent a lovely afternoon with Jeana + Stan as they gallivanted around Charleston’s Waterfront Park. With the Lowcountry as the backdrop, and Jeana + Stan front in center, Chi captured some truly Charleston-esque elements in these wonderfully vivid and perfectly photographed shots. From the famous Pineapple Fountain and cobblestone roads, to the Cooper River Bridge and Charleston Harbor, we hope you enjoy this beautiful Downtown Engagement Session.
We’ve received numerous emails and tweets from newly engaged brides asking for our recommendations for local, Lowcountry plantations. From Hilton Head to Charleston and up to Myrtle Beach, we’re blessed with a wealth unforgettable wedding venues. So to assist our darling brides in the wedding venue selection process, we’ll be compiling a list and highlighting a handful of properties on a weekly basis until the round up is complete! Let’s get started…
