I went to the University of Georgia, so I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for the color red (actually, I’m obsessed.). It’s such a sassy color and, at times, it can be difficult to properly integrate into your wedding color palette, but I’ll tell you what, Bride Mandy nailed it as she gave it a chic, Lowcountry flair! Mandy looked STUNNING in a fitted mermaid gown, while her gals rocked fabulous, one-shoulder red dresses. The couple wed on lawn of the Daniel Island Club before enjoying a lovely evening with family and friends. Thanks to Bri McDaniel Photography for capturing this amazing Charleston wedding!
It’s Friday and I get to present and awesome contest to all of our loyal ALW readers and that always makes me smile! But now I want to make you smile. In honor of her brand new website, we’ve teamed up with our friend and Charleston wedding photographer, Mackenzie of The Click Chick Photography, for a big ol’ giveaway that we’re positive will have you grinning from ear-to-ear. The best part is it combines two of our favorite things…a free wedding photography package and Pinterest. My kind of heaven!
And let’s be serious, who doesn’t want their wedding captured by an awesome photographer and then featured on A Lowcountry Wedding! Excited?! I knew you would be! Now, for the rules…
It’s engagement day here at A Lowcountry Wedding and we’re diving into Round 2 with this beauty from Charleston wedding vendor, Dana Cubbage Photography! Abby + Kyle traveled to Charleston, South Carolina from their home in Connecticut for their engagement session. Kyle’s family has a beach house in Myrtle Beach, so South Carolina has been a special place for him growing up. On their summer vacation to Myrtle Beach this year, Abby + Kyle drove down to Charleston for the night – the perfect chance to check out the city + hang out with Dana for a beautiful Lowcountry day!
Ashley & Drew were married in the beautiful First Scots Presbyterian church in downtown Charleston. The day’s celebrations continued at The Island House on John’s Island under twinkling strands of lights hung from their airy reception tent. Upon their arrival, guests were asked to sign river rocks as a nod to the bride and groom’s first anniversary. We’re loving how the Lowcountry views were complimented by the modern outdoor décor. The bride chose a deep navy and soft ivory color scheme for her flowers designed by The Flower Cottage, guests’ favors, and table settings….and that gown, that gown from Gown Boutique of Charleston is stunning! An exit under a shower of rice made for a perfect ending to their enchanting Charleston wedding night. Thanks to Riverland Studios for capturing all the details!
These two are just so stinkin’ adorable. I mean, I just love them, I want to be them and if their wedding is even half as adorable as their Legare Waring House engagement from Charleston wedding photographers, Sean Money + Elizabeth Fay is, then I just can’t wait to see it. After scouring all 50 states and even a few foreign countries, the precious duo hit the jackpot when they stumbled upon the Lowcountry…and we’re so glad they landed in Charleston. “Legare Waring House captured our hearts from the moment we saw the Avenue of Oaks, so we were thrilled at the opportunity to split our engagement shoot between its lush landscapes and the streets of downtown Charleston. A sun-soaked afternoon in a charming, historical city with a fistful of balloons and the best photographers in town–it’s the stuff that e-shoot dreams are made of!”
You know what this girl loves…a Boone Hall wedding. Spending an evening at the Cotton Dock sure does take me to my Lowcountry happy place. It’s effortless, indescribably beautiful and when you mix in that coastal breeze, you’ve got a combination that just can’t be beat. Now, let’s add in the adorable bride and groom, Whitney + Jamie, the talented STUDIO 1250 Photography and the creative masterminds over at Ooh! Events and we’ve got a rustic Charleston wedding that you’ll really want to sink your teeth in! We’re obsessed with their sweet pink color palette, those lovely bridesmaids dresses and Whitney’s killer shoes!
