Katie + Yashar selected a talented group of Charleston wedding vendors to execute their chic, Summer wedding with a fresh grey and white color palette. Jade Water Designs translated Katie’s vision into a stylish, coastal wedding complete with stunning, white centerpieces that included hydrangeas, lilies, orchids and roses. The intimate, Lowcountry affair took place at a spectacular, private home on Isle of Palms with views overlooking the ocean. The picturesque setting and soft, beach breeze provided the perfect backdrop for their outdoor ceremony. After saying ‘I do’, they treated their guests to a sit-down dinner provided by Cafe Catering and fabulous sweets from D’lish. Thanks to crew at Riverland Studios for capturing yet another timeless, Charleston wedding…
I can’t think of a better way to honor our new site than to kick off the week with a fabulous Lowcountry wedding from Richard Bell Photography…so, that’s just what I’m going to do! Rachel + David said their ‘I do’s’ this past September in a beautiful waterfront ceremony at The Island House. This spectacular Charleston wedding venue is located on the banks of the Stono River and provides a coastal breeze and the perfect backdrop for those looking for a little piece of Lowcountry heaven.
The couple enlisted a team of Charleston’s most-sought after vendors to execute their Big Day! Rachel has always been a fan of scouring flea markets to find new treasures and with the help of the creative minds at Tiger Lily Weddings, they incorporated her passion into the wedding day decor. Antique birdcages were used to hold their custom programs, an old wooden game box held well wishes from the guests and a timeless typewriter greeted guests as they arrived at the ceremony. After their vows were exchanged, Mell Bell from Richard Bell Photography captured the couple in their first few moments together as husband and wife in the picturesque butterfly garden. As the sun set on the island, the trees came alive with hanging lanterns that created a warm, cozy glow. Cafe Catering treated guests to a fabulous spread of Lowcountry cuisine as they danced the night away in celebration of the adorable twosome!
Valla + David’s Charleston wedding took place this past November overlooking the water at the stunning Renaissance on Charleston Harbor. This venue is every Lowcountry bride’s dream. Not only are you surrounded by the relaxing atmosphere of the marsh, a perfect coastal breeze and unmatched sunsets, but you’ll also get amazing views of the statuesque Cooper River Bridge. Not bad, eh? Valla donned a beautiful Alfred Angelo gown that she accessorized with a rustic bouquet from the talented team at Horst Wholesale as she walked down the aisle. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple’s ‘I do’s’ took place just steps from David’s childhood home. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their photographer, Mikkel Paige, captured some frame-able shots out by the docks. They continued their celebration at the Renaissance on Charleston Harbor where guests were treated to Lowcountry cuisine from Cafe Catering and a fabulous Publix that matched Valla’s gown.
