Southern Weddings {Ribbons}

HR
HR

I’ve been loving all the ribbon detail brides have recently been incorporating into Lowcountry weddings.  Ribbon accents give weddings that sweet whimsical feel and with so many ways to include them (ceremony backdrop, chair detail, getaway wands, centerpieces…and even swings!), the options are really endless.  Brightly colored ribbons will add a playful element while more neutral colors will give your wedding that romantic touch.

    Thank you so much for this post! I feel like while some people are paying attention to ribbons, not a lot are. I am using them for backdrops for the alter and at the entrance of our wedding pavilion, as well as on chairs and behind the cake, etc… I love the flow and the whimsical nature of the ribbons. Love the idea of the image from Snippet and Ink, the ribbons high up in the trees, swaying in the breeze, and the receipt paper backdrop from Arts Incubator Space (100 layer cake) which is so innovative and textural! There is just so much you can do with 1-2 inch strips of anything!!
