Californians Shaylan + Joshua recently made their first trip to Charleston where they met up with one of our friends, Carolina Photosmith, for a dreamy South Carolina engagement session at the beautiful Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. The couple enjoyed the picturesque scenery, beautiful bridges and that lovely Lowcountry breeze. We’ve got our fingers crossed that after their engagement session these two lovebirds were bitten by the “Charleston bug” and we’ll soon be making plans for a destination wedding along the Coast!
As we prepare for another busy week, we thought we’d join in on the Sunday Funday fun with a spunky Charleston wedding engagement that kicked off on the Citadel campus. The adorable couple, Whitney + George, definitely brought the party with them…and the talented Chi Photography of Charleston, of course! After enjoying all the Citadel’s parade deck has to offer (and a quick wardrobe change), the duo kicked it up a notch with a little paint. That’s right, you heard me…paint! Tell me this doesn’t look like a good time!
It’s been a few days since we’ve treated you to some pretty, so we thought it was only fair to share this lovely Charleston wedding engagement. Shot by the talented Carmen Ash Photography, Caroline + Ryan enjoyed a beautiful evening under the Lowcountry sun as they toured the romantic Holy City. They even wrapped things up in a spot overlooking the water and the Cooper River Bridge.
First thing’s first, I just have to take a minute to thank all of the wonderful Lowcountry wedding vendors who have recently submitted so many lovely real weddings. I feel like we could have enough dreamy magazine content until 2014….it is seriously awesome and a wonderful problem to have. So, as you can imagine, our inboxes are full, some may call it overflowing, so please excuse our delay in getting back to you! We are slowly but surely trying to navigate our way through all the prettiness and we are still accepting submissions for our first online magazine until July 19th! Not only do we need real wedding submissions, we’re also on the lookout for adorable flower girls and ring bearers AND one-of-a-kind bouquets. So keep ‘em coming! Interested in joining the ALW family, please contact Elizabeth atElizabeth@alowcountrywed.com for our media kit and additional information! So, while we slave away behind the scenes, we thought we could leave you with some oh-so-pinnable images from this adorable Old Pitt Street Bridge engagement session from Charleston wedding photographer, Sea Star Arts Photography! Christina + Ervin spent the afternoon enjoying the beautiful scenery in Mount Pleasant’s Old Village before finishing things off down by the beach!
Have you heard the big news!?! We’re launching our first ever online publication this summer and we’re over-the-moon with the fabulous response we’ve already seen. We’ve got big plans to shower Lowcountry brides with dreamy weddings from the coast of South Carolina ranging from Hilton Head and Beaufort to Charleston and Myrtle Beach (and a few of our other favorite cities in between!). You’ll find a selection of the most sought after Southern bridal selections from the top, local gown boutiques and, of course, all the best tips and inspiration to make your wedding planning process a breeze! In the meantime, we won’t keep you waiting! Today we’re sharing this charming Downtown Charleston engagement session from LindseyK Photography!
When Sara Bee Photography sent over Jess + Steve’s engagement session, it was an immediate, ‘Yup, these are going up!’ Not only is the photography beautiful and the Charleston backdrop perfect, but these two are freaking adorable. Rain or shine, they just have the best time together. After hanging out Downtown for a bit, they packed up the show and headed down to Folly Beach with a few meaningful props. Steve was known for chomping on bubblegum as a baby and Jess was notorious for drinking Coke out of her baby bottle. These two are tying the knot this weekend, so leave ‘em some love!
