I know, I know!Sorry doesn’t quite make up for the complete lack of blogging that’s taken place on ALW over the past week.I was off in Boston enjoying a business-related vacay, and while I had every intention of getting a few posts in, faulty hotel internet and the pure joy of being semi-unplugged (minus instagram, you know I can’t give that up!) was kind of awesome So, I apologize for the abrupt pause in your daily dose of Lowcountry wedding inspiration and email response, but I’m now officially back and kicking off this week with a gorgeous Charleston wedding from the talented, Richard Bell Photography. This Bride + Groom combined a lovely pink and purple color palette with some mouthwatering ham biscuits, sweet potato fries and even some Firefly vodka for a one-of-a-kind celebration at the Creek Club at I’On!
This week, the crew at A Lowcountry Wedding will be feverishly reviewing all the beautiful real wedding submissions we’ve received from up and down the Carolina coast. I’ll be honest, I’ve taken a peek at a few and you’re going to go crazy at what’s in store for our first online magazine! These big ol’ Southern weddings are IN-sane! So, while get cracking on these submissions, we thought you might to swoon over this dreamy Charleston wedding from Loren Routhier Photography. Loren is an amazing photography who, not only captures every lovely detail, she also has knack for capturing each and every couple at their finest. Gorgeous bride Elizabeth and her dapper husband Justin looked oh-so happy at their Middleton Place affair where Duvall Events was on hand to treat guests to a fabulous celebration!

Francesca’s well-rounded background in the hospitality industry ranges from marketing and catering, to full-on event design, so to say she’s the missing piece in your Southern wedding bash is an understatement. Not only is she a joy to be around, but I’ve always been super impressed with her drive, creativity and ability to execute all her bride’s dreams! Tell us a little bit about yourself…and by a little, we mean a lot :)
I’ m obsessed with my dogs, Paris and Ginger.
I’ m high energy all the time, spinning class is my relief at the end of a busy day!
I also love going to the beach when I have time.
I drink coffee on occasion but I usually steer away from caffeine.
I’ m a food brat, partly from my upbringing since my Dad was a chef. I enjoy cooking myself, especially Italian.
I’m fortunate enough to have become friends with most of my clients.
I change my hair like a chameleon! I just went blonde
I love to travel! Justin and I travel at least once a year to somewhere warm and tropical.
I would take a block of cheese any day over desert.
Best concert I have ever been to was Journey! However, my pandora is always set to Maroon 5 in my office! It is sacrilegious not to listen to Maroon 5 at least once a day.

One crazy fun fact we wouldn’t know about you…
You can find love anywhere, Justin and I met at a Dunkin Donuts!
Give us a little background on how your business came to life…
I was born and raised in the hospitality industry so it has always been in my blood, although my degree and background is in marketing. I was born and raised in hospitality but never thought I would work in the industry myself. I started the business for fun, and it evolved when I moved to Charleston. What a perfect spot for this industry!

Favorite wedding detail you’ve ever designed?
There isn’t one specific detail, but I do love patterns. I like to pull a pattern from somewhere and incorporate it into several different elements. I like to keep things consistent, but not too matchy.
What blogs provide you daily inspiration to keep your creative juices flowing (non-wedding related)
We pull sources of inspiration from everywhere, whether it is walking through Lowe’s, Target, or downtown Charleston. I often think of creative ideas when I’ m not in front of my computer.

Thanks to good ol’ Tropical Storm Andrea, most of us will be locked up inside today, so we decided a vintage-inspired Charleston wedding with an eclectic color scheme was just what the doctor order! The sweet couple, Sarah & Ryan, met through mutual friends and within a week knew they had just met the person they were going to marry. They are both thankful for their supportive families and said, “Neither of us have very impulsive personalities, and I think they could tell that it was different than anything we had experienced before.” Ryan proposed to Sarah just five months later while floating in a canoe in a lake full of candles. How Can you say romantic? Their outdoor ceremony took place at Hampton Park before heading over to Upstairs at Midtown to celebrate. Thanks to Priscilla of Riverland Studios for capturing all the lovely details!
The minute I saw these women all dolled up sporting goofy glasses and holding the sign that said ”That’s what she said,” I immediately knew I had to share it with ALW readers. Not only did the photobooth shot make me laugh out loud, but I also feel hard for every beautiful detail from this Citadel Beach House wedding. Clemson fans, Sara + Nick, enlisted the help of a talented crew of Charleston wedding vendors to pull off their big Southern bash starting with Lowcountry wedding planner, Elizabeth Grace Occasions. Blossoms Events spruced up their beachside bash by incorporating lovely topiaries and succulents for a fresh, modern look, while MOSAIC Catering wowed the guests with their Lowcountry cuisine. Thanks to Carmen Ash Photography for capturing all the charming details!
As we dive head first into June, get ready to be showered with posts and posts of Lowcountry loveliness beginning with this wonderful Charleston wedding engagment from Dana Cubbage Wedding Photography. Things got started on the grounds of dreamy Boone Hall Plantation where Ashley + Greg enjoyed the poppy fields, Spanish moss and lovely coastal views. Shortly after, they headed Downtown as they wrapped things up in the heart of the Holy City.
